If you're interested in the history of pro football this might be for you. The Packers Hall of Fame recently received rare audio recordings from the 1940's of the great Don Hutson talking about various topics on his radio show. Three of the recordings are linked HERE. More are available from the Packers Hall of Fame website.

I wonder if 1940's sports radio listeners called in to talk shows to b**** about their teams.

There was some story on Sports 32 yesterday about UWW. It had video and interviews, too bad I was only able to catch half of it and I haven't been able to find it online at all. All power to someone if they can actually find it somewhere!

Great find Pappa Hawk, just the fix I needed. The offense looks sharp already!

It was a nice report but on the same page was the infamous comeback game in 2007 vs LaCrosse.   Man, I enjoyed watching that video again.

UWW's Lane Olson has been named to the USA Men's National Team that will complete this summer in Austria in the IFAF Senior World Football Championships. The link to the announcement is HERE. Lane's announcement is 4th from the bottom. Twenty-six of the 45 positions have been selected, with more to come. There's even a guy named Kmic selected as running back (I guess it helps to have your coach as offensive coordinator  ;)

It probably didn't hurt Lane either.  Personally I hope Lane is too busy in some NFL team's camp to compete.

Really....I wonder when the last time Kmic touched a football?

I don't follow your train of thought, bw.  Lane's coach isn't one of the USA coaches.

I was thinking the same thing 02.  If a guy out of football for 2 or 3 years can make this team, it tells me we can't get anybody to play. I do think he's an assistant at his Alma mater, so he's probably touched a football.  But this isn't wrestling, fencing, or volleyball where a college assistant coach might actually be capable of competing at the international level in their sport (and in the case of wrestling many are competing successfully).  This level of football is still in it's infancy.
