I figured you'd have the back story on the chant, BoBo, and also that it had been used elsewhere before. For anyone to adopt it though, after 1970 and it being so indelibly attached to Marshall university and their tragedy, doesn't sit well with me but, hey, it is LaCrosse, I bleed Warhawk purple so it could be said that I am just looking for something to criticize.  I did say the commercials were awesome!!!  

Penn State fans claim to have been using "We are Penn State" since the 1950's, and were upset when Marshall "stole" it. I don't think anyone can claim any ownership of it.

Ah, it has been around a long time.  Don't get me wrong.  Not saying Marshall, "owns," it.  Just saying that in my mind, the chant is too closely associated to their program and that tragedy for me to be comfortable hearing someone else take it on.  The plane crash is what I think of when I hear it but that can probably be explained by the fact that their story strikes a little to close to home for me.

2. UW-Stevens Point 7-3, 5-2
3. UW-Stout 6-4, 4-3
4. UW-Oshkosh 4-6, 3-4

My 2 cents on WIAC:
1.  UWW
2.  Oshkosh- I like their scheduling of heavy weights and they have skilled players.
3.  Eau Claire- I like their scheduling as well- many returning players from a team that was pretty solid a couple years back.
4.  Stevens Point- did they loose too much?
5.  Stout- tough D but can they put up points?
I hope for a very successful first weekend of games for WIAC- once again the conference showed it's willing to play anybody anywhere.
Really excited for week 2 Oshkosh vs Mt. I like the Titans and I don't feel they will be intimidated.

Voice reported on the Running Backs this year but it appears Pirtle is gone, what happened to him? He seemed really promising to back up Coppage this year and then start next year.

Where is this report by Voice? Very dissapointing to see Pirtle gone from college football, if that is in fact true. He was a top notch student and a member of the Milwaukee University Upward Bound Program while in HS. I would assume academics weren't the issue...

I see references to Coppage, AA, Stanley and a guy from 2009. They only mention a returning Soph RB but I don't see mention of Pirtle at all.  Is it known he is gone...or are people assuming based on him not being mentioned?

The Raiders seldom lose anywhere- I want to say they lost most recently at home than they did on the road.
My intent wasnt to make a bold/provocative statement, but more to recognize a team that is doing the right things to at least give them a chance to compete at the highest level. I can't imagine intimidation being much a factor given the game last year. IMO Oshkosh will have to find a way to compete physically w MT as I believe coach K will want to restore that part of Mt's game. From a skill perspective, Oshkosh should have the players and offensive scheme to worry Mt.
I think UWW will face similarly tougher games as I have to believe the "second tier" teams have now had enough time to recruit and plan to have a better chance.
This year will really be a test of taking it one game at a time.
