I never did see Derrick LeVake play, it sounds like he was a heck of a player.  Anybody see him play?

Well, since I've been watching the team since they wore leather helmets, yes I did see Derrick LeVake play and he was "a heck of a player."  He was an offensive lineman and made several All American teams as a junior and senior.  In fact he is the only offensive lineman to ever be named WIAC MVP (player of the year).   I seem to remember that he had a try out in the NFL but I can't remember which team.  Actually I've seen every one of the WARHAWKS play with the exception of Al Equi who graduated just before I showed up on the scene.

Sorry to have created the confusion yesterday 17.  The other guy was pretty good too.  All I can say about your exclusion is that you got hosed.  ;)  :D

A quick Google check indicated that he played in the NFLE for the Amsterdam Admirals

Congratulations to all members of the All-Time WIAC football team, especially to Coach Roger Harring - a great leader, a great coach and all around great guy. This honor is richly deserved, and he has no rivals for the award. What a tremendous career.

Oh, and let me be the first to wish all my PP posse a very Merry Christmas and prosperous, safe, and joyous New Year. My wife just finished packing our bags, my daughter's last day before winter break was yesterday (wednesday) and our flight to our little island paradise is later this AM (thursday). Time for a couple hours of shut-eye. We'll be gone for about a month. I hope everyone's been real good and Santa brings you something nice...enjoy!!  :)  Can't wait for my first mango mai tai on the beach...life doesn't get any better than this!!

Merry Christmas to all and to all, a good night!!
Merry Christmas BoBo and a happy and healthy New Year!  I truly enjoy your wisdom, insight and most of all humor on the boards..
