I am only resposible for my responses tonight until 12am, Dec. 14, as my wife had to go in early to work and I started early with whiskey man so I am getting more intelligent as the night goes on.

I'll give OU#25 the opinion about LK and his coaching capabilities.  He has earned the respect of pretty much everyone that regularly posts on this site.  But to say that WW has not faced a defense in the quality of MUC is just nonsense.  You have absolutely no idea how good any other defense was that WW faced compared to the numbers that MUC has established this year.  No common opponents what so ever.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

Olinemom,
The players were suppose to fly out of Madison at 4:00 CST today.  Now you have me worried about their having safe travel.  I will let you know when I hear that they are there safely.  Anyone else with news, please post it.

footballfan413-Your both right about the winingest coach in NCAA History, just depends on your definition: total wins or highest winning percentage. The first you gain by being very good, living a long time and not retiring, the second you get by being extremely successful over a long period of time.
I take my hat off to Gagliardi and everything he has done, but I'm far more impressed by Larry Kehres's 230-20-3 record and his 91.5 winning percentage is number 1 all time, all divisions. Knute Rockne is second at 88.1 percent.

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Are they at the Clarion or the other one.  Crud, I can't remember the other one at the moment.

The Wyndham.  It's very nice.  Much better than the Clarion, I've heard.  In 2000, SJU had a bitch of a trip, too.  Very similar to this year.  Snowstorm in MN and icestorm in VA.  We flew into NC and drove until 7 am to our hotel.  Hope UWW gets there safely.

A tradition unrivaled...

Thanks, 413.  Today is fine weather.  I just want them here before the crap hits.  The flight into Roanoke is "interesting" even on a good day.   Now you're an hour earlier than we are and they will probably have to change at least once.  I want all to arrive safely.  I lost one of my senior majors to a car wreck on 81 this summer, so travel and students make me more nervous than before.  I'll await the latest word while baking away.  Can you smell the chocolate?  That was an e-brownie that just wafted its smell past your nose! :) :)
This Eagle has joined the Warhawk Nation for the duration (Lord it even rhymes)

Can a math major help me out....isn't 230 wins 20 losses and 3 ties a 90.9 winning percentage?  Well, whatever it is....is a crazy number to look at.

One thing is for sure. If the Warhawks win the National Championship, they will have done it right through the front door the hard way.

Winning the WIAC undefeated, having to travel to Linfield, then playing the Mount in the Stagg.

Good luck Warhawks!

So, Mount Union did it through the Back Door because they had "control" of the seeding somehow? Just give it all a rest. You play who they put out against you and if you win it all you are the champ. Good luck to both teams.

Lighten up kirasdad. I took nothing away from Mount. Obviously, I was giving them credit. Tons of it.

The only mistake in my post is that I should have included the Warhawks playing St. Johns as part of the "front door"   as well.

My bad, I shoulnd't have posted so early. :)

I'll pass the Mr. Obvious Award to you Kirasdad. You need to swallow your own advice more often!

The Wyndham.  .

I've stayed at both and I agree that the Wyndham is better! Wow, you all must have flown into Greensboro and driven up 220 to Roanoke in the weather.  Less than wonderful is right!  Boy I hope they don't try that this evening because the storm is coming from the South :(  It calls for it to begin around midnight in Bridgewater which means about 10 p.m. in Greensboro depending on how fast it's traveling.  Actually they might be able to get here before it starts.  I sure hope so.  I imagine Mount Union is coming down in buses.  I sure hope they are having a safe trip as well.  But it's flying I hate.

Wildcat-Sorry, I pulled that off the Stagg Bowl site. I agree with your math and yes no matter what it is, it's sick.

I believe the team is flying on a charter plane so no hassle with connections and are flying into Roanke directly so no trouble with the roads.  The brownies smell terriffic. ;)  Please save me one of the Godiva ones you mentioned because, I know how those Hawks can eat!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Wasn't taking anything away from Kehres.  He has an amazing record and gets all my respect.  Just pointing out that the Hawks and their coaches have delt with the, "coaching factor," once already this year and still came out on top!

True and it's still going to be sick at 90.5% too.

Seoulguy, he won't listen to you. Remember the last word? He gets it! Being a college student, I thought I was suppose to be the immature one. Missed the memo.

Just a questions, not trying to light a fire..well, maybe. If Whitewater scores, say, between 35-45 points, does that mean MUC's defense was worse than some of Whitewater's other opponents who have held them to lower (29 by LaCrosse, 34 by Central and SJU)?

I agree, though. Coaching will be a factor. Experience always helps. As much as coaching experience has to do with it, though, tradition DOESN'T. 7 times in 11 times. That is absolutely amazing. But it's 2005 WW vs. 2005 MUC.

Good luck to both teams. Gonna be a doozy.

I think that coaching experience does have a bearing (sp?) on the outcome of the game.  I know that Brez has been around for a long time but playing more than 10 games a year, especially in the last 8 or so, gives MUC a decisive advantage in the coaching.  But coaches don't play the game.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

Footballfan,
The "weather" is not supposed to start in Salem until 2am 12/15/05 so if they left on time they will be here in plenty of time before it arrives. ;) Now tomorrow it sounds like it will be a day without outdoor practice as it is supposed to snow about an inch first then accumulate about 1/2 to 1 inch of ice on top of that. Precip. will be gone by Thursday night.
On a side note, I will be picking up the sacrificial chickens for Stone Station tonight. After a fresh 18 hours basting Friday night they will be ready for the grill at 8am Saturday morning. Drive safe and leave the cooking to us. ;D
