I am surprised at the pick 'ems this week. Most folks don't think Point can travel to Dubuque and win, I do. And only Bobo and I think that Stout can hold court on home field against North Central. 13th rated in the country. Traveling to Menomonie to play a team that competes in the WIAC on a yearly basis.

North Central will hit our edges hard, probably have more speed. But this is an experienced defense. Experienced against the best competition. Only Bobo and I picked the Devils. I expect it to be a good game. Maybe folks get this rating thing in their heads and forget how hard it is to come into Williams stadium and win, no matter what the rankings say.

The UW-Whitewater football program got some bigtime national media exposure this afternoon.

An ESPN.COM Paybook Blog article published this afternon is titled: UW-Whitewater pounds rock to D-III titles
It is a lengthy, well written article that is a good read for UWW and D3 football fans.

Great article. It tells a lot about why UWW is so successful. Thanks again.

Count Keith McMillan in Stout's corner, too. One of his Top 25 teams most likely to get upset - #13 North Central at Stout is an option.

I got to the Perk shortly after 10 am and the tailgates of 413 and 02Warhawk were already going strong three hours before kickoff.
A big thank you to Chuck Nass and Tom Coe for the invitation to stop by tailgate zone #1.  Just Pepsi on the rocks for me!!  Those guys no what tailgating is all about and to think they'll do it again tonight up in Madison prior to the Badgers' game vs. Utah State.

If your at the Stadium prepare for the Hawks to run through fireworks as they decend from the SAC to the field prior to the game!!

I'll be bogging all day today on my blog site:  http://www.voiceseyeonfootball.blogspot.com/

Uninspired sloppy game by UWW and Buff State playing extremely well combined with a lucky last drive leads to a UWW loss.

What was so lucky about it? I saw the last drive-obviously pretty effective. A lot of poor tackling.

Double lateral and bad tackling on two plays gained them about 50 of their yards. Pretty much were stopped other then that.

I think you are closer to accurate with your description.

Buffalo state outgained and I really think outplayed UWW on this particular Saturday. Does that mean Buffalo State is better? No. But I think they were much more than lucky.

Trying not to get bad Karma from my mates, but NO ... UWW is on top until this year's Stagg Bowl.  What makes me happy is that UMUC's record winning streak is safe.  Congrats to UWW for the 4th longest streak.

But remember when UMUC lost their last regular season game ... Ohio Northern in 2005 ... no one got within 13 of them the rest of the way to the championship.  The Warhawks are more dangerous than ever!

I agree with this too. I don't think this means anything in regard to another likely UWW vs. MUC Stagg Bowl. But for now the road will be tougher.

It means a lot especially if your WR is seriously hurt.
