I've heard the UWEC/UWL game is broadcast locally on WQOW (EC) and WXOW (LaX) tomorrow.
The last I looked the forecast is 90% rain/thunderstorms for that game.  Ugh.  Something tells me the bleachers will be empty.

It's a wonder what a couple hours can do  ;D   Now it's only a 50-60% chance of rain.  Things are looking up.

Hopefully Menomonie is just far enough north that they are beyond the heavy storms for the game.  UWW caught a little bit of a break in week one vs Wash U when the hurricane remnants threatened- at least in the first half.

yeah, it just drizzled, but the sky opened up for like 10 minutes straight in the 4th quarter.  I have never been in rain that hard and dense every before.   It was like a faucet opened up.

You should get to see a real battle in the trenches though WD.  It could be real old school smash-mouth- this will be good for ol #65.

Quiet board for game eve. Bobo- come back or 413 will find you.

My understanding is the Hawks are driving up tomorrow morning- we need another fundraiser.

Emma - not sure if you were taking a shot at me with the "another fundraiser" comment - hope not!

As far as me being able to make the drive up.  I was planning to go up today to watch my hometown Durand Panthers (#2 in D4) try to wrap up an unbeaten regular season tonight and then drive up HWY 25 another 20 miles to Menomonie to watch the Warhawks at Stout tomorrow but kidney stone removal surgery has put a halt to those plans. Just my 4th game since 1988 that I'll miss, but my second this year. Man, I've got to get healthy!!!!

I know E17 will answer for himself, but there's no way he was referring to you, Voice.  After all, he's not Purplesuit!  ;D

Sorry you are missing the game Saturday, but you are probably making a great decision. Stay healthy, stay strong!

This is not a funding issue; it's a conference rule.

Yes, it is no longer a funding issue.  This rule is a head scratcher to me.  Is it a matter of a number of schools not wanting to put in the work to raise the funds for overnight trips, so they took away the option for those programs that would have chosen to do what it takes?

What us the rule? No team can stay overnight anymore? What about non conf games?  Do other conferences have this rule?

and I imagine BW probably has a big bowling thing planned and won't be making the trip! :-*

I can personally attest to BW's love of bowling.. :)

Heck no Voice, I would never joke about your situation.
Like Bleed said (thanks) I am referring only to chipping in to give our Hawks a better chance for success.  It seems like a major disadvantage for any team- just like River Falls leaving at 5:30 a.m. last Saturday to play UWW.

I did not know there was a no travel rule. When did that happen? Certainly hurts the teams who are at one end of the state.  Uwsp has a sweet deal sitting right in the center of the state.  There longest drive would be under 3 hrs and all others 2 hrs or less.
