I'd be remiss if I failed to mention that the game ball for today should go to the ENTIRE UWO defense.  They held the juggernaut of a Linfield offense scoreless over the final 21 minutes to give their offense a chance to comeback.

Congrats Titans!!!

Completely irrelevant, why is it called the Catdome???
Rumor is that they are re-namng it the "WIACDOME" since all WIAC teams do as of late is win there!!!!

I know.....you guys have won 2 games here.....freaking amazing......heck that's as many as the WIAC  has lost at the CATDOME........good for you!  Like how you threw in the "as of late"---is that so we don't bring up the stomping UW-LaCrosse took in 2004 or the UWSP took in 2005?  I guess as of late must have started later that year .....By the way, Linfield and the WIAC are now tied up 3-3 and it's taken a close hard fought win each time the WIAC has beat Linfield....on the other hand, the Linfield Wins have all been huge drubbings.  So go ahead and enjoy todays win and best of luck down the road but get real if you think the WIAC suddenly owns Linfield or our field.  Sheesh.
Go Cats!

I guess only Linfield backers are allowed to give cute nicknames to things?

Guess I needed to put the smily face in there as to not offend the Cat Backers!!!!   ::)

I DO NOT like the looks of this!  Reminds me of the UWW team in 2005.

Great win for UWO, and I think they just are a bit stronger moving forward.

Mount beat UWW in 05....isn't that a good thing for mount fans?  ;)

I'm not a Mount fan, but that is what I'm counting on - my bracket has Mount over Oshkosh in the Stagg!

Now MHB just fumbled. This is my first time watching MHB this year...I'm far from impressed.

As I posted on OAC board, after watching MHB and Wesley I'd be surprised if either could give Mt a game. Fundamentally sloppy.
anything can happen, but Mt. has been so dominant all season that they certainly are the team to beat no matter who they play.

Well, I'm actually of the mindset that Linfield plays the type of football that is most successful vs Mt.

I've been watching the Raiders for 20+ years and I respectfully disagree.  Especially since Vince Kehres took over the defense.  Mount is built exactly to defend the type of offense that Linfield plays.  We see a ton of spread/passing games in the OAC and Mount is designed to defend that with a base 4-2-5 alignment with fast, undersized guys at every position than the standard.

The teams that give Mount trouble are big, strong running teams that can play defense.  Which is why UWW had success in the 2000's and LaX in the 1990's.

You and I have agreed on this point before.  What I meant to say about Linfield is they play fundamentally sound football and of the teams that have a chance to play Mt in the Stagg this year, they seemed to me to be the best at it.  I think some teams get a bit overwhelmed playing Mt, perhaps trying to do to much.  I felt Linfield wouldn't be that way vs. Mt.  As much of a UWO fan I am, I just didn't think they'd get it done vs. Linfield after the first half.  But credit to them, they have more mojo than I thought.

What a win for UWO! As an alum who witnessed the end of the Phil Meyer era, i'm so glad to see the program taking off and the students and community supporting them. I honestly had a laptop up and running at my neighbors house during his SEC Championship party. Proof: http://imgur.com/ZqHYw

Also, I have to give UWO's radio/tv/film program tons of props too. The broadcast quality stands out significantly over what Linfield produced today. Hail Titans!

Sorry the broadcast wasn't up to your usual standards. One thing in our defense, Private vs. STATE funding, 10,000 seat stadium vs 2250, and over 8,000 students vs. 1659. I sure it will be better next time.
Nice come back yesterday...... I'm sorry, I'm still in a bit of shock and am speechless,......Your QB is the real deal.good luck this week, and I hope the Titans win it for the West.
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Come on, TG, did you really have to go there???   ;D The only problem with Linfield's broadcast was, in the 4th quarter, when they lost the up-top camera that had been the primary camera most of the time until then.   I really think it was a technical problem because the broadcast was on an independent streaming site, not a lack of quality or a program decision to take away any scouting advantage which was inferred by some.  The viewing perspective was great until then but that lack of camera angle in the 4th really affected watching, as we were looking at the game from field level from that point on.   S#%t happens.  OK, the student broadcasters weren't great but we have students call the games, too, and it is what it is, a classroom for them and rightly so because these are learning institutions, first and foremost.  I was just happy to be able to watch a game at the Catdome not being able to attend this time.  Back in 05, I had to get game film afterward from an inside source.   ;)

2 things---1.  The stream is through an independent company but the camera work is done by volunteers.  2.  The student announcers are new for the playoffs.  If you were only doing audio stream you'd hear the announcers  that we usually listen to (and more or less enjoy).  I'm not sure why this changed (having students to the call for the video while the 'pros' did the audio only) during the playoffs unless it had something to do with NCAA playoff rules for broadcasts.  Why we lose the top view at least two weeks in a row I'm not sure....someone pointed out that as soon as the game was over the top view was back so I'm not sure what was going on...

Thanks for the info, MC.  I know TG was at the game and I figured he didn't know about the loss of the up-top camera and that being the #1 reason for the complaints.  I know the NCAA has their hand in the play-offs broadcasts because of the annoying "NCAA D-3," purple logo that flashed multiple times on the screen with every time out or break in the game.  LOL   ;)  >:( ::)

Fair enough.....

However my thoughts are that if you are willing to give it all week (Phone it in, purple frisbees, Catdome, etc..) you better be able to take it when things don't go your way....

Oh well, not the first time something I posted on a message board didn't get the desired outcome.

Nope--(though I don't play with Karma)---it may have been funnier if the WIAC really did nothing but win at the Catdome as well....just sayin--and it was bad timing as we (or I) were still hurting from a tough loss.....  :-\
