Two things that really stuck out were 1. Behrendt looked much better under center.  Despite miserable conditions he threw the ball well and Huber's catch for the first touchdown was unbelievable.  Two, the offensive line blocked better.  Running backs had holes to run through and they protected the passer well.

They say that a team makes it's biggest improvement between game one and two and today the WARHAWKS proved it true offensively and the defense looked every bit as good as expected.

BTW....shame on Platteville  for scheduling Lewis & Clark.  You might as well just call this a sight seeing trip to the Pacific Northwest.   ::)

P-ville 63 L&C 34 late in 4th qtr,  I heard they had a long wait at the airport & one practice canceled because of weather so its not suprising they got off to a slow start.  I still would of rather played a home game instead of going two time zones away.  I think L&C will be coming to southwest Wisconsin in the near future.  ;D

It's tuff to win when you start 4/22 seniors and when you spot a team a 17 point lead. But in another woulda, coulda, shoulda game, the Falcons lose 35-34 at Simpson. As in the St. John's game, RF won all the stat totals except the big one. Sophomore Ryan Kusilek set two RF records and tied another:  479 yds total offense and 344 yds passing are school records. Four TD passes ties another. However, he threw his first 3 picks in the game.

Though a 0-3 record doesn't show it, the Falcons are a good, and improving, team.

Of course, I suppose the fact that RF lost will cost him WIAC Player of the Week as it did two weeks ago when the Stout QB was chosen even though his totals were not even close to Kusilek's. But Stout won the game. Is there room for some kind of judgement other than whether a team wins or loses when choosing POTW? Seems like there ought to be.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

I think there should be as well. However, I think throwing 3 interceptions in that loss should be weighed pretty heavily against him. Gaudy numbers are great, but you have to take care of the ball.

Thanks for the good wishes 02. Based on what has been on here lately, the UWW score was a surprise. Not so much that they won, but that is was so one sided. Let's hope both our teams keep it going.

Palum, they led 14-0 one minute into the game. How fast do they usually start?  ;)

The Johnnie win was good news from my stand point, mostly because Caruso's attitude, as exhibited when he bullied the women assigned to greet the UST bus when it arrived in RF, was pure arrogance. He complained to them that 120 lockers in the visitors locker room were not enough, that he could not use an adjacent locker room even though it was being used by another team, and generally, according to the guy in charge of Knowles Center, acted the part of someone used to better treatment and accommodations. This even though the KC Chiefs left us with locker room facilities second to those in very few d3 schools.

How does this kind of behavior square with his two time winning of the Sportsman of the Year Award (probably not the right title), an accolade given by an insurance company, I think,  for sportsmanship in football coaching? John Gagliardi he is not.
