And another thing, Emma... ;D

I think we'd agree Alabama is a pretty good college football team. Definitely a team with NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP aspirations, right?  How are they looking at 3rd down %?

38% and ranked 78th in the Nation. Are you worried about them, too?  ;)

Yes I am.
They converted 48% of third downs last year.

I know you're just pulling my leg Bleed, but here's some interesting info on 3rd down conversions.
UWW:
2013- 36%
2012- 41%
2011- 47%
2010- 52%
2009- 53%

Here's an interesting link to an article from Coaching Search on stats:
http://coachingsearch.com/article?a=College-football-teams-converting-55-of-3rd-downs-are-423
Of course there are always exceptions and outliers.  But it seems in general this is a pretty telling stat.

Good info for sure. Obviously, my overall point isn't to  minimize the importance of converting third downs. It was more about trying to look at overall stats as any kind of measuring stick when 2 of the three games played were decided by a combined score of 120-14.

Do I think it's important for UW-W and Alabama to convert more third downs? YES
Am I worried about either of them? NO

Yeah but you don't worry about anything.
No problem though as I'll worry for you.

Once again, our roles are clearly defined! I'd say we are ready for the conference season to begin!!  ;)
;D Yes, as I said when Emma and 02 are worrying, then everything is right in the world.  ;)  The rest of us will be positive until there is obvious evidence to the contrary.

I'm even sensing a hint of optimism in 02 that wasn't there last year!  :)

Thanks, all, for your votes for my #1's clothing design.  She is in first place.

UWO gave up only 75 yds of total offense to Alma this past weekend while putting up 555 yds of total offense themselves. Woah  :o

I have to hand it to your Titans- it appears I was too quick to jump ship on them for this season.

As much as it pains me, I have to agree as well.   I thought the loss of Wara by itself would be enough to move the Titans down a notch or two.

Woah is right. Those stats are ridiculous.

But, while the defending conference champion certainly deserves respect, I'm not sure I would draw many WIAC conclusions from dominating Alma (or Waldorf for that matter). After all, Alma lost to Lakeland the previous week.

What- Lakeland?  I knew Alma was struggling but Lakeland?

Whoa is right, to everyone!!!  It....is....Alma!  It...is...Waldorf!  No one should be getting giddy about either of those games, stats or scores, as far as I am concerned.  We need to see how a few games play out in the WIAC, the toughest D-3 conference in the country, before we all get carried away with last weekend's games. The WIAC has a way of bringing teams back to earth rather quickly!    8-)

According to P-ville's website the UWP-Stout game on Oct 26 and the UWP-WW game on Nov 2 will be televised live on Fox Sports North (FSN).  Does anybody know of other games on FSN?
