I know I am late on this but after watching the UWP UWW game on DVR, WIWA is a true statement.

That it awesome! You get a +k for sure! Now 02 is seeing knowledgable non-UW-W fans jumping ahead of him in the WIWA line. Cool of you be willing to post it!

Let's talk about 02 like he's not here.
What do you think his deal is anyway?  What part of the UWW team is preventing him from believing wiwa?  Is it the offense doesn't resemble the pound the rock years enough?
Maybe he wants a single RB dominating the stats again?
Is it that he feels the higher ranked teams are superior to the Dub?
Or perhaps it's internal. Since he stopped writing his WIAC column he probably does less homework on the conference teams, including the Dub- resulting in less fact based confidence.
He's an interesting dude that 02.

Ya think?  ;)

Something happened to the guy. (Can you tell I like the idea of talking about him like he's not here?)

Here's a post from him four years ago almost to the day. Back when he had an unshakeable internal belief. Back when he was emotionally healthy.  Back before something very good was stolen from him. It's from November 8th, 2009. My goodness, it sounds like something I would have posted on November 8th  ;D

Has Whitewater offered busses to the Stagg Bowl in the past??

hypothetically of course   :P

LOL!! Missing the playoffs with a 7-3 record was a big reality check for me last year I guess.

Ahh 2009, such a great game and memory. Massive blizzard - 31 straight hours in car w two sons. One of the best times of our lives. Thank God the game time was pushed back- we were still clearing vehicles from the highway just before original kickoff time.

I hope you hopped on that bus 02- even though it never made it to Salem.
Remember, we are fighting to save your seat on the wiwa bus still.

I ended up getting a flight to Roanoke, with a layover in Atlanta. I didn't find out that roanoke's airport was closed until I got to Atlanta the night before the game. So I was given two options 1) take the next morning's flight to Roanoke missing the game (this was before the game was pushed back). 2) Fly back to Milwaukee.

I went with option 2, and ended up watching the game in Whitewater.
Ahh, I remember that trip very well.   Saw the impending storm, called home from work and said, "we have to get on the road".  Wife said, "lets go".  Left the office and starting the drive with wife and two daughters.   We spent the night somewhere between Lexington and Louisville, got up early the next morning, were making great time, actually looked like we would beat the storm to Salem.   Then wife said, "Hey did you see that sign for a craft mall?   >:( :o  I said, "no".   She said it is about 30 minutes away....we are doing great, how about a short stop?   I said, "Not a good idea", then she said, "Please 30 minutes, thats it".   I said OK........... :P

Arrived a craft mall.....90 minutes later we left.   Got to Blacksburg WV and the freezing rain started and then the snow.   Blacksburg is 33 miles to Salem.   It took 6.5 hours to drive 33 miles.  Double semi's were running off the road.  Luckily I had the 4 Wheel drive Yukon and we had phone call after phone call from UWW fans at the hotel wondering where we were.    We pulled into the lot and walked in to register and 3 different people walked up with a drink for me......and I needed it!

Then the game gets pushed back and we won, and that was the night I met Emma for the first time in the parking lot at the Stagg Bowl because he noticed the Fremd High School sticker on our car.

It has been a great 5 years, even including the 7-3 season that has turned 02 into COWA.

WarhawkDad

Seasons like those are necessary to make y'all remember just how special it is to make the Stagg!

You are right about that Ex.  This year is like new life.  I hope your team gets to experience playoff success as well (until ...).

Looks like one of UWO's best LB's is out this week according to their 2-deep roster...being replaced by a 5'6" 185lb guy. I thought I was small at 5'8" 200...

Yikes... I"m guessing he is quick and very tough.

All you have to do is look at the roster on the UWO football page and click on the "Two Deep" at the bottom of the page to see for yourself.....

Yes it is Stefaniak

Sorry to hear about that, he's a heck of a player.  Whatever the back-ups size, I don't think he'd be on 2 deep of UWO if he couldn't handle it.  What was Lane Olsen for UWW?  5' 7" or 8"?  He was great.

Does anybody know if the UWW game is available online this weekend?  I don't see the "v".  I sure hope the TV thing isn't preventing streaming video.

Supposedly says there will be game video. IDK if it will actually be there or if it will cost anything.

Thanks very much Master,
I hope it's there come game time.

Stefaniak is done for the season/career, cracked bones in his back. Luckily, he will recover.

Agreed!  Never want to see any player get hurt, but it is even more tragic when it ends the career.   Best wishes to Mr. Stefaniak.

Ouch, the back is nothing to mess around with. Sorry to learn of his injury.  Hoping this doesn't have some longer term impact on him.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery and congrats on an outstanding career.

To spark some new conversation, what are the top 10 Warhawk games that you have been to? TV and internet viewing do not count!

1. Linfield 2009 Semifinals- Can't really dispute them.
2. UMHB 2007 Semifinals- Surprised I didn't freeze to death at that game.
3. North Central 2010- Going down to Naperville in the snowstorm and being louder then twice as many NCC fans!
4. LaCrosse 2006 - First year of college, Homecoming, still a true rivalry with LaCrosse at that point, nobody liked them!
5. St Thomas 2011- Great, tough fought night game.
6. Wesley 2006- Kaboom! Crushing them for the second time in the Semifinals.
7. Wittenberg 2009- Tough game. What would have happened if their starting QB hadn't gotten knocked out?
8. Platteville 2012- Tough game, probably should have lost it but it was oh so sweet going into their house and beating them, especially with how the season turned out.
9. Trine 2010- Nice shootout with the UWW defense coming through in the end.
10. Stout 2011- Night game on my birthday, good friends there, dinner at Jessica's.

As can be seen, I have not been to any Stagg Bowls.  :'(

Wow...Terrible news on Stefaniak. As a guy who ended his career with an injury that is never how you want it all to end. Best of luck to him on his recovery.
