To spark some new conversation, what are the top 10 Warhawk games that you have been to? TV and internet viewing do not count!

1. Linfield 2009 Semifinals- Can't really dispute them.
2. UMHB 2007 Semifinals- Surprised I didn't freeze to death at that game.
3. North Central 2010- Going down to Naperville in the snowstorm and being louder then twice as many NCC fans!
4. LaCrosse 2006 - First year of college, Homecoming, still a true rivalry with LaCrosse at that point, nobody liked them!
5. St Thomas 2011- Great, tough fought night game.
6. Wesley 2006- Kaboom! Crushing them for the second time in the Semifinals.
7. Wittenberg 2009- Tough game. What would have happened if their starting QB hadn't gotten knocked out?
8. Platteville 2012- Tough game, probably should have lost it but it was oh so sweet going into their house and beating them, especially with how the season turned out.
9. Trine 2010- Nice shootout with the UWW defense coming through in the end.
10. Stout 2011- Night game on my birthday, good friends there, dinner at Jessica's.

As can be seen, I have not been to any Stagg Bowls.  :'(
Now this exercise put a huge smile on my face!

     1.  2005 Warhawks against the 2004 defending national champion Linfield Wildcats!  Still the greatest game I have ever witnessed!  There was 11 lead changes and when we got the go ahead score with 42 seconds left, I was still scared to death that Brett Elliot and company had too much time.  Amazing football and great Wildcat fans, it was a huge shame that any team had to lose that day and that it was not broadcasted.  I'll never forget picking up the paper the next day at the airport and opening it to a 5x7 color picture of A.J. running for his pick 6 with Brett Elliot face planted behind him.  LOL  Thankfully, WC11 was able, to eventually, bring himself to face the pain and do this awesome highlight video of the, "The Game!"

2. 2007 Stagg Bowl UWW vs. MUC   After traveling to Virginia for the 3rd year, I admit to expecting the same result and did not believe, until the last 3 minutes that we actually might win our first championship.

3.  2007 UWW vs UWLC.  "The Comeback!"  This game was just unbelievable to witness watching our boys score 25 points in the last 11 minutes of the game to save our chances for the play-offs and our first championship, having already lost a game to St. Cloud State.

4.  2006 UWW vs. UMHB  7-3    We traveled to Texas to watch one of the greatest defensive battles I have ever seen.  Mrkvika ran the opening kick off back to give us our only 7 points of the game and then we held them to a field goal.  Ryan Kleppe was an absolute beast.  A friend of mine was in the end zone taking pictures and tells the story of how he heard the Crusaders screaming at each other, "you have to block him," and the player yelling, "I can't block him! YOU block him!"   LOL

5. 2005 UWW win over the Johnnies.  Sorry Ret!   ;)   They were such an accomplished powerhouse program, it was our  first BIG play-off win over a marquis program.

6.  2005 UWW win over Wesley.  "The Ice Bowl"  The field was a sheet of ice and it was unbelievable watching our players run all over the field like they were in a park and the Wesley players slip sliding away...........   ;)

3 out of 6 from 2005!!!  Clearly, a magical season, for me, that catapulted the Warhawks into the national spotlight!!! Unfortunately, I only have time for 6 this morning.  Heading to Beloit to see the Carroll Pioneers take on the Buccaneers.
GO WARHAWKS and CU PIONEERS!

Can't dampen my day. Headed to Mad City for the UW/BYU tilt.

OH, I just have to include a #7 to my list.  The 2007 quarterfinals against the Wabash Little Giants in a blizzard at the Perk.  Not so much because of the game itself, but for the tailgating/viewing experience.  Snow started falling at 9:00 and we must have had 4 inches by kick-off!  The bobcat had to plow the yard lines several times during the game.  The Little Giants traveled extremely well and their fans were an absolute delight in the parking lot! With no wind, moderate temperatures, snow falling gently, it was easily one of the most fun days of football watching I have ever had.  And the 47-7 final score didn't hurt, either.  ;)

Wow...not much offense in the UWW/UWSP game. If it wasn't for UWW's special teams, I can't say for certain UWW wins this game.

Very hard-fought and frustrating game on both sides. Both defenses were strong.

Congrats to Whitewater for their 33 WIAC championship, as they tied UWL for most in conference history.

I guess this one gets chalked up in the "any win is a good win" category.

For sure. Unfortunately the weather conditions and the oppositions defense isn't going to get any easier for Whitewater's offense in the playoffs.

Hopefully they can tighten some things up. MB still has trouble with the deep balls. Thank goodness for the special teams today.

Did Joe Worth played today?

I thought I saw #9 on the field

I was looking for him in the second half and didn't see him.  He doesn't show up in the stats as having a catch.
I sure hope he's ok, especially now as it looks like J Howard hurt his arm.  The receiving corp needs a couple weeks off.

Surprised by how easily Oshkosh won today in Eau Claire...

Going into today Eau Claire had lost by two points (Pacific Lutheran) and six points (Point) on their home turf (in addition to winning by seven points (River Falls.)

Guess I just thought it would be a better game and not 42-0 heading into 4th quarter.

At one point, UWO had held the WIAC's top rusher, Joel Sweeney, to 8 carries for 1 yard.  (Ended up with 123 on 17 carries, with 108 coming on five carries in 4th quarter once UWO's reserves were in.)

He was on the list of participants for today's game.

Good teams find ways to win.  Wind horrendous.  Give Stevens Point credit for having good rushing D.  So best scenario for UWSP.  Special Teams come up big.

UWW had one TD called back and penalties hurt both teams.  UWW defense excellent today.

D O.C.

The sentimentalism for that 2005 game is so overwhelming a write in campaign is in order to have the game this year played in McMinnville should both teams earn it.  :-*
