Great game and great football experience today.
-UWW coaching staff has done an incredible job this season, can't say enough good about the job they've all done.
-Linfield is a tough team with a very difficult offense to stop.  I'm sorry they were without so many of their best players.  They all work so hard, you hate to have teams at less than full strength at this point in the season.
-McLin is an easy target for the big plays in the first quarter, however, IMO he had great coverage on both long balls and the other guy simply made plays.  He never stopped fighting and ended up playing an excellent overall game.
-I loved the deep balls today.  Although I though it got a little out of hand in the first few series.  No problem though, great work.
-Like Bleed said, the play Grayvold made on the screen was fantastic.  Linfield had the entire sideline if Grayvold doesn't make tackle.
-I don't know if/what adjustments were made on D.  I actually think the D line simply had more energy as the game developed.  The D line overwhelmed Linfield at times.
-Behrendt again made many good plays that don't show up on the stats.  Although his reluctance to run the ball sometimes costs the team yardage, he makes so many excellent decisions that prevent turnovers.  Well done for him.
-The UWW O Line performed very well today.  Nice time on passes and pretty good work with the running game.  It was great to see the O Line really celebrate the Behrendt 10 second scramble TD pass play.
-I had the good fortune of meeting my first real live Wildcat fan- Wildcat 11.  No surprise he is a heck of a guy.

My feeling was the Warhawks just got physical once they settled into the game.  Especially the front seven on D, though the play by Grayvold was definitely stellar.

Got to meet ff413 and her family (including her favorite LB).  Thanks for the beer!

Was actually a pretty decent day at the Perk.  Cold, but no wind.  And a lot of fun to watch.   :)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Way to go UWW!! Glad you are still on the road to Salem. What I don't understand is why you always have the harder route there (ie. Playing Linfield & UMHB) than another team thar always seems to have an easier route.  Just saying. .  .  . I sure am looking to seeing you in 2 weeks in Salem,  so play hard!!! Tell the coach(es) that I'll need a UWW pin for good luck, so bring an extra one.  Can't wait!!  Go WARHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!

It's true. Bummer for UMHB and Linfield.  ;D

Mount will have its hands full with North Central next week. Should be two good semi-final games. Looking forward to meeting you.  ;)

Warm weather next week in Belton

Nice. You demeaned Bethel, NCC, Platteville, and Mount Union in one short post.

41-17.  :-\

I know, I know....the score would have been a lot closer with their starting QB. I agree with that.

Plus I don't think that comment demeaned Mount Union, as much as it demeaned Wesley.

Fun stat from yesterday's games:

All four winners yesterday were out gained in total offense by the teams they beat. :o

I'm working my sources this morning. They indicate that the NCAA currently determining location of UMHB-UWW game by having ADs at both schools participate in game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine game's location.

Really? You've NEVER seen a sporting contest where a very good team was beaten badly by another very good team by a lopsided score. Oh, wait, Northern Illinois (11-0 at the time) was routed by Bowling Green (8-3 at the time) in the MAC Championship just a couple days ago. I think you need to look a little harder at what you post. Bethel had a LOUSY GAME. It does not mean they are a lousy team.

I don't think that the comment intentionally demeaned thos teams I listed, but that is an unintended consequence. If you can't see that, I'm lost.

Looks like UMHB will host and kickoff is at 2:30 local.

Seriously?  Olinemom doesn't have an, "intent to demean," bone in her body!  She is just showing support and a little wishful thinking and rooting for a team that she has adopted for 8 years!  If you can't see that you are being a little too thin skinned calling out a wonderful, kind and generous, D-3 football loving, brownie baking lady for, "unintended consequences," then
   I am lost..............  ::)

Based off what, gives you the indication that UMHB will host?
