WISC TV-3 in Madison had a great behind the scenes feature on UWW senior tight end Chris Davis late last week. It is more than a sports story - its a life story that has had such a positive impact on Chris and his family during his college career at UW-Whitewater. Hopefully ESPN producers take note this week...

Yes!  Like old times. My team is back where they are supposed to be!  I'm so happy for you guys!  Can't wait to see you'all next Wednesday!! I'm hoping that all the snow of this week will give way to better weather for next week's festivities.  Pound the rock before you fly into Salem. Hope someone will bring me a UWW pin for luck. I didn't get one the last time. .  .  . See you in 4!!

Who is it that determines what "supposed to be." Can I meet this dude? I'd like to show him how the cow ate the cabbage. (I don't know what that means, but I heard it once, and thought I'd use it.)

It's personal opinion, in this case hers, is what determines "what is supposed to be". So obviously to you it's not but this is the way some people think it's supposed to be. It's really sad to always see you come over here and be so defensive and angry about things that are always personal opinion such as a MIAC team losing or someone thinking someone will beat someone else.  ::)

Pot meet kettle. Lighten up pal. If you can't see by the last part of that reply that there is a great deal of levity, I worry for your sanity.  PS - About the only people who think this is the way it should be, are fans of those two teams. What percentage of the D III universe do you think that comprises?

Yes, fans of UWW and Mount could think it's the way it's supposed to be (but remember, Olinemom isn't fan of UWW or Mount to begin with, outside rooting interest). Never said anyone else had to think of it that way either (and if you ever took notice I was rooting for NCC to beat Mount) and obviously others would want their team or other teams to win.

The difference between you and UWW fans though is we allow people to hold their own personal opinions while you come into other peoples boards and attack them for it. I feel sorry for you that you just can't take enjoyment out of watching the kids play football instead of being a petty and angry person.  :(

Seems like his feeling towards any WIAC team in general...  Was the same way when it came to UWO after they beat Bethel in 2nd Round last year.

As someone who has met Olinemom on more than one occasion, let me say first that she is a very nice person, and a maker of some great brownies.

HOWEVER, she always makes sure "in the nicest way" to left-hand compliment Mount, or even diss them in some way.  All of us at Mount are used to her ways, and just shrug it off as the way she is.  The fact remains, she really has never gotten over the 2001 Stagg, and the 2003 semi-final.  From a Mount perspective, those are the facts.

My feelings.......eh......whatever.   ;)

ya but...if...could have...would have...should have...Oh well.

UW-W and Mount Union are once again the two best teams in Division III football. Not by much this year, but the two best nonetheless

GO HAWKS!
Yes--it seems like any of the teams that made it to the quarterfinals (well...Bethel with their starting QB perhaps..) would have been competitive in the semis and/or Stagg.  Clearly the results of yesterdays games showed how much more parity there was in D3 this year--two 1 point victories---crazy!  Should be a great Stagg!
Go Cats!

Paging bleedpurple... you are overdue in providing your analysis of yesterday's Warhawk win in Texas!

Well, so far it's 100% of everyone that I've spoken to since yesterday afternoon.  :D

OMG, two Semi Final games decided by one point.  What are the odds?  :o  What a fun, intense and amazing day of football watching these games!  Loved that they were  broadcast by ESPN even if it was just streamed and I had to hook my TV up to the 52 incher.  Worked like a charm.  May I point out the obvious, however?  These slow starts need to stop!   ;D Great job and a huge congrats to the team and staff.

As always, the Cru was a worthy opponent and great adversary.  Congrats to them on a stellar year. That stadium is ridiculous, in the best sense of the word!

One more congratulations to the Warhawks on the semifinal win. UWW wins the Stagg by +14.  :o

Ok. I guess I don't know my place. Since this is YOUR BOARD, and I don't belong. Kind of like the Jim Crow Laws. I'll just get along home then. Sorry to sully this pristine exchange of ideas. It must be nice to feel suprior.

umhb2001

Congrats, UWW, once again, we just can't close the deal. I'm tired of saying see ya next year, but that's just how it is. Credit where credit is due, and in the end, literally, we just couldn't get it done.  >:(
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

MasterJedi

We might have made some enemies this weekend with UWW beating UMHB and the Packers beating the Cowboys. Might have to watch ourselves if we ever go down to Texas again!  :P
