It appears Stanley was arrested Sunday for violating his probation by drinking alcoholic beverages. Simply, What a pud. Also heard that Freeman was arrested earlier in the month. They sound like a fine pair. If they play for the Warhawks they may have to wear orange jumpsuits and ankle monitors.....

Besides, hscoach,  check in on this board alittle more often.  This topic was kicked around shortly after the article was published over a month ago.    ;) ;) ;)

A month old, eh?  Good thing I never claimed to be intelligent or quick............... ;D

Does anyone have a final answer on these 2 guys?  I'm all for second chances, but the Booker situation looks more like he's had his 2nd and 3rd chances already.  The weed charge on Freeman isn't a big deal by itself, but when paired with Booker it looks bad.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I don't know if I agree with this but a couple of Warhawk players recently said to me that if Stanley didn't go to Whitewater he might wind up at another WIAC school. Since it is only one year they would rather have them on their team than to play against him. Like I said I don't know if I agree with them but what they say is certainly logical. Any way you look at it nothing will be for certain until summer camp starts......

I have the final answer for one of them, hscoach.

Booker Stanley will never play for the WARHAWKS whether his legal problems are resolved or not, never.   I don't know how many times I have to tell all of you that before you believe me.  ;)   It's possible that he will end up at a JuCo in Illinois.  I would be shocked if it were any other WIAC program.

We can't control who inquires about playing for us or what they tell the media but I can tell you that no one on the WHITEWATER staff contacted Stanley regarding the matter.  I can also say that Coach B has stated that he would not allow Stanley to play in our program.

As far as Freeman goes, I'm not certain.  He did contact WW about transferring but was told that he would have to discuss the matter with Coach Bielema before anyone in WHITEWATER would discuss the matter with him.  That was all reported in media story a month ago.

I guess I don't understand why Freeman's problem looks worse because Stanley also has problems, hscoach.  Perhaps WISCONSIN'S problem looks worse, there are two (and others) football athletes in legal trouble but I don't see how Stanley makes Freeman look worse or visa-versa.

Stanley out!!!  Freeman was told to get his academics squared away with Madison and call back, as of 2 weeks ago he hasnt contacted the WW coaching staff.  IF he isnt academically eligable there he wont be at WW bottom line, previous run ins with the law not as much of a concern as with Stanley...
If you wanna be good practice till you get it right, if you wanna be great practice till you cant get it wrong..

CaptainKurt

Any chance that the Warhawks get Joe Thomas on transfer??

warhawkexpress28

I heard it was a possibility with his injury and all last year.. Dont know where he would play though, might have to make the move to the Dline.  LOL ;D

Lindys College Football Annual is out and the Warhawks are ranked 2 behind Mount Union. The October matchup with Mary Hardin Baylor is called one of the top 5 games of the year. Ist team preseason All-Americans are Jacobs, Beaver, Ramsier, and Sakellaris along with Kleppe on the second team. Evidently they aren't aware that Widuch is coming back.....Can't you just taste it....August camp is not far away......

KennethK

any other West region teams showing up in Lindy's poll?

Sakman 1111

#18 NORTH CENTRAL    #13 AUGUSTANA   #12 CENTRAL    #8 LINFIELD   #4 ST. JOHNS  No other WIAC team made the list......

footballfan413

#3595
Something tells me that there will be some phone calls made to the NCAA to make sure of Widuch's eligibility by more that a few teams!!   ;D ;D ;D

Additional West Region Teams listed in Lindy's:
              #17 Occidental             #22 Concordia-Moorhead

(North Central and Augie are North Region teams)

Havn't heard much from LX the last few months.  Anyone optimistic about the Eagles in 06.

CaptainKurt

Somehow, someway, LX will be tough.  They will find a way to be good, no questions about it.
