And while I'm in the history mode, just remember with the win on Saturday, Coach Leipold will set the record I told you clowns about a couple weeks ago - fastest to 100 career wins. Major accomplishment in the history of college football coaching; hope he gets some accolades from the national media for this feat. You might have guess it, but Bobo is a history buff.

Here's a start:

#Warhawks visit UW-Eau Claire this weekend; w/ win, @CoachLeipold reaches No. 100 for his career - read more: http://bit.ly/1pcy5Hv

...not exactly national media, unless you count that it was posted on twitter.

Hard to believe that UWSP is the winningest team against Lance (RAL*: 2-6), considering all the great D3 programs he's gone up against (mutliple times): Mount Union (1-5), Linfield (0-2), MHB (0-4), NCC (0-2). There's also been some good Oshkosh (1-6) and Franklin (0-3) teams during that stretch as well.

Then there's this WKOW 27 Madison

Glad they received and acted on my tip!!   ;D

Lacrosse dominates the WIAC coming in 32nd nationally in the top party school rankings

Yep. And knowing some of their graduates, they appear to be in it for the long haul!  ;)

OK, now back to your normal chit-chat.

Not bad for a guy who started out 1-1 .....  8-)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

That's a great reminder.
Hard to imagine what would have been without the Comeback vs UWL that season.

A must win for UWL. They will get it by a score of 24-14.

Congrats to Coach Leipold on his 100 career victory in 106 games to set the record. Nobody has done it faster. That is just insane.  And congrats to Asst HC & DC Brian Borland who has been there for each of those 100 wins and only 6 losses.

Warhawks lost two defensive starters - Marcus McLin and Kevon Clunis to injury during the week. But the depth showed through as it was hard to notice a drop off in any way. And the defense scored twice - fumble return and INT.

Congrats to Lance Leipold who became the fastest coach to 100 career wins with today's  52-3 win at UW-Eau Claire. Here's the story from ESPN News...

Congratulations to Coach Leipold.  He came in under difficult conditions, brought a D1 approach, insisted on attention to detail in every aspect of the program, stuck with it no matter what and built an incredibly successful program.

It's an easy program to root for.

Osh 37, RF 7. Total yards:  Osh: plus 5. First Downs:  RF 18, Osh 13. Turnovers:  RF 8, Osh 2. Which stat is key? Falcons continue to self-destruct.

^^ Still can't get a proper read on Oshkosh - losing all the important stats, except score and turnovers vs RF, on top of the La Crosse early Christmas present last week. Guess we'll find out next saturday...my way to early crystal ball is showing a blowout of the Titans.

Platteville's defense played big today. P-vile was in control of the game halfway through the 3rd quarter. SP scores after a a long punt return, they score again after a Platteville turnover to start the 4th qtr.  Point misses the extra point, Platteville then fumbles the kick off and I'm thinking here we go but Plattevilles defense forced Point to try a 47 yard  FG which they missed then Plateville scored on the next drive to seal the win.  Platteville looses to North Central, Point beats NC, Platteville beats Point.  I still think Platteville needs to win the conference to make the playoffs.

Not only did Coach Liepold get his 100 but he looked great doing it. A big win with great football played on both sides of the ball.
