If I recall, officially, Oshkosh lost that game and all the others that year due to a forfeit of the entire season for rule enfractions.  If I am wrong, please tell me.

Pastprime,
You are indeed correct.  The story that the scoreboard said that Oshkosh won,  but they used inelgible players, and therefore had to forefeit the game.  They did not win.  So dating back to 1976, or whenever the streak goes back to, Sloshkosh still hasn't beaten Whitewater.   Hopefully, that streak stays intact this year.

You guys are the best!!  Thanks for reading my post!!  As long as you guys keep promising to read my posts, I'll keep promising to write  them!!

"I agree with Downtown that the Osh Kosh game could be the toughest. Night game, TV, and a big crowd"

You mean some of the UWO students may actually come to the game this year?  They have been notorious for lack of student support for years because they televise the games on campus and the field is located way off campus on the other side of a river, (if I am remembering right but I am old ;D) Quite a hike for the students.

Is "enfractions" even a word?  Takes me 2 days to even notice.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

Thanks O Cap 'n my Cap'n, I wonder if it is going to be available in FIB land??

What is the Warhawk Nation Alumni feel on what games we are attending?

And how are the Outlaws?

badgerwarhawk

Pastprime....no it's not  ;)

The Outlaw are 4-1 going into the 8/5 game.  A game against the Waukesha Predator has been postponed until later this month.   Unfortunately it's looking like the 14-7 loss to Milwaukee is probably going to be the difference.  Milwaukee leads at 6-0 and should annilate their remaining competition.

HOWEVER, the Outlaws will kick their butts in the playoffs.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

CaptainKurt

Outlaws won this weekend 25 - 15.  We de-throned the Milwaukee Venom, who was standing in first place at 6 - 0 before the game.

The Outlaws are now 5 - 1.

I should have said the postponed game was against the WEST ALLIS Predator, not Waukesha.  If you've seen one western Milwaukee suburb you've seen them all. ;)

bw--I've owed you a case of beer for over two years, which I've purchased and allowed to age in my basement for lo these many months. It's not Schlitz, the "beer that made Mel Famey walk us," but Blatz. Or was it Blatz, "the beer that made Milwaukee famous"? I'm confused again. Anyway, it's apparent I'm not likely to cart it to WW anytime soon, so if you'll send me your address via email, I will send you a check for the case of beer of your choice.

On another matter, I'm thinkin' one of the tuffest road games for the Hawks will be at RF. The word out of WW after last season's game at WW was that we played the Hawks tuffer than St. Johns's did. RF  should be better this year.

And in the "Here we go again" department, may I remind all who are picking the Falcons last are probably the same ones who have been doing that over the past few years. When is the last time RF  finished last? Do the research.

And thanks to the Johnnies for scheduling RF. You've done more to upgrade our program than any other single event in many years. I'm looking forward to next year's game and a gathering at our own Johnnie's Bar on Main St. I just hope we can make it a contest of sorts.

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

Fred, let's go double or nothing on this year's game.

I believe I heard that Tony Beckam signed a free agent contract with the hated Vikings.  Oh well, I wish him the best!  Hopefully, he makes the cut and get some playing time.  I think they just lost one of their d-backs for the season due to injury.
