Happy for Leipold that Whitewater came back, because seemed like some of their fans were ready to fire him if they lost this one.

What a comeback by UWW.  Incredible to think about the level of emotion on the field next week between Linfield and Whitewater.

Love how a lot of people are STILL underestimating UWW. :)

Who's doing this?

I can't see UWW defense giving up 30+ points like a lot of people are thinking.

Nice to be wrong and still win!

They were lucky they didn't give up 45+ points as Wartburg had to settle for 4 field goals after UWW stiffened in the red zone. This turned out to be a great game. Next week's match between UWW and Linfield should be a good one too.

Looks like Kumerow is getting awfully close to 100% at about the perfect time.

Everyone else stay healthy today, as far as you guys could tell?

Actually, looking at Jake, he doesn't look that close to 100% to be - he just said during the post game press conference that he feels better, but didn't say he's 100%. That was a heck of a stretching catch just before his fumble at the goal line, though.

CB Marcus McLin didn't suit up today and it showed...he's pretty much lock down when he's in there.

DE Kevon Clunis got hurt vs Macalester and is out for the remaining games

TE Brent Campbell broke a hand last week and is done, too.

S'OK when you score 4 more than the opponent.

I don't care if everyone piles on, I WAS wrong but it's not a hard assumption to make. The last time anyone scored more then 30 points on UWW was Trine on 11/27/10, so more then 4 years ago.

Wait -- did you guys just delete like two pages of disparaging posts?

What a game...great atmosphere at the Perk today! My voice is pretty much shot, and I still can't believe they came back. Wartburg is a really, really good football team. They were huge up front and very athletic. They exposed the crap out of our safeties today. Their slot receivers were open ALL DAY LONG over the middle of the field. Glad to finally see our defense go into lock down mode in the 4th quarter. They gave up a ton of yards, but made some huge stops down the stretch.

Behrendt refused to have his career end today.....he played with a lot of grit in the fourth quarter. What an effort! You can't say enough about Moore. That long TD run was something this offense hasn't seen all season long. Nice to see a UWW back finally break one. With jake slowly coming back to 100%, Howard has really stepped up and has become a huge threat.

Very exciting game...probably one of my favorites.

I don't think the WARHAWKS were as prepared as they should have been today.  I think the week really took something out of the players and it showed in the first 3 quarters.  It was an amazing effort to come back and win like they did.  This one was all the players effort and my hat is off to them. Hopefully the coaches will stay here this week and focus on Linfield.

This one was all heart. I could not be prouder of this football team.  Watburg is an excellent team and very well coached. Lots of strength. The Dub refused to die today. The X's and O's can and will be dissected all day long. But UW-W has heart and character.  The clash of wills next Saturday will be monumental.

Master,
You weren't alone in this thought, I felt the same way.
Wartburg was an excellent team in all phases and pushed UWW like no team has done in a long time.
