Mr. Downtown

The Difference with RF offensive mentality is that in the past 3 years, River Falls had 43 turnovers. Now, most of those are not interceptions due to the wishbone.

What they are hoping for, is that by having two tightends, and Nathan Anderson being the single back lined up 7 yards behind, gives him enough room to get the engine started, instead of the minimal yardage he had in the past season to get going.

The biggest point with RF, is defense. They are very confident right now about their defense. With the offensive mindset they have, and if their defense is as good as they say it is. Watch out, River Falls might sneak up on some teams this year.

I was holding back with condolences for the Plese Family and UW-EC football family because I was just hoping that it wasn't true.    My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved him.

Good points, Jville, Raiderguy, Downtown, PC. Too bad I don't keep current.

No, I'm not the bartender, but I do hang out at Johnnie's Bar. I've got a year to work on a possible special deal for Johnnie fans next season prior to/post game.

bw--what, you got a ticket last time in town? Sure, I'll get it fixed. City government is nothing if not accommodating here in RF.

No, no ticket yet Fred.  What I was shooting for was getting main street named after me.  BADGERWARHAWK DR. has a nice ring to it.   Can you accomodate that? :D ;)

Are you the guy who was sleeping on the bar at Johnnies the other night?

WIAC has hit 250 pages.

Over on the MIAC board Johnnie Red has a birthday. He is a very fine fellow that many of you know from the board.

How about a few well deserved karmas for the birthday boy?

And camps open today, change that ......it's a freekin' tri-fecta!!!!
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

One thing not mentioned on this board following last Tuesday's WIAC Media Day was the fact that a
$2.5 million commitment from UW-La Crosse students has jump-started UW-L's football stadium construction project.  LAX Coach Larry Terry indicated at Media Day that the project is expected to allow the Eagles to open play in the new stadium in 2009. It also means that with construction ripping up Veterans Memorial Stadium, the Eagles will be forced to play its 2008 home games at a neutral site, possibly Winona State.

I also heard rumblings at Media Day that Stevens Point is expected to announce plans soon for a new on-campus stadium.

Goal Line Stand

That is great for LAX.  Let's hope they make major improvements to the visitors stands.  Trying to see around those light posts is a real pain and a lousy original design plan.

My condolences to the UWEC football family on the loss of Mike Plese.  The thoughts and prayers of the MIAC are with you.

bw--We have a planning commission mtg. tomorrow. I'll bring up your suggestion to re-name  Main St. in your honor. I'm not guaranteeing success, but it's worth a try.

No, I was not the guy alseep at the bar. That was an ex--Warhawk, former football captain, who happened to be in town.

Happy birthday to Johnnie Red. Will he have the #@*&$#*burgers going at the Falcon/Johnnie game?

Hey, I have feelings too.  Quit being such a smarty pants.  Just because I say rotten things about your press box, doen't mean I don't know anything.  For example, I know this talk of you buying beer for people is just that-- talk.

Regarding Marcus, great kid, a real success story regarding work ethic producing playing time, very coachable, -------but, not a very good athlete and will have a tough time competing in this conference.

P.S.  I hear you are upgrading your facility.  Welcome to the WIAC.  That new full time AD must be getting the job done.

With Evenson returning and the Hull brothers, EC has some outstanding receivers.  Who can we expect to see at QB for the Blue Golds?
