LL appears to be multi-tasking this week as he just hired a former colleague of his at Nebraska- Omaha, D.J. Vokolek, to coach the secondary at UB. He was the associate head coach and defensive coordinator at Missouri State, a successul program in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Just booked my fan bus ticket...should be interesting  ;D

MasterJedi and Kitchen: Were there stops along the way (breakfast, lunch, etc...)? Or do people just bring their own food, and the bus goes straight there?

The bus leaves at 10:00 Thursday night, and will get to Salem at 2:00 (EST) Friday.

Any advice for the first timer?

Stopped at two rest stops in Indiana and Kentucky where people got snacks/coffee and then for lunch at a place in West Virginia (had three restaurants for lunch) then the game, two rest stops on the way back and a stop in somewhere for breakfast at McDonalds. So bring food or you will starve lol

Bring a pillow!

Several stops, so you didn't have to use the rolling potty.  And you have your chances to get a bite to eat (many do bring some snacks as well, though).  Bring time-killers:  E-books (or old fashioned books), crossword puzzles, knitting, whatever floats your boat.  And whatever will help you sleep away as much time as possible.  There are outlets on the bus, so you can keep your smartphone/tablet/whatever charged up and running for the duration even if you use them constantly.

Remember when you get there, after a short time the bus will be unavailable.  So don't leave your jacket on board that you might need for the game.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Does anyone bring coolers, like for tailgating once you get there? I'm sure there's storage under the bus, but I'm not sure if we can use it or not. I have a feeling I'll need a beer after that trip.

No beer allowed, they'll search everything you bring on board to make sure you don't have any.

Saw a few small coolers.  No alcohol on the bus!  (or don't get caught)

You have to be able to stash it.  I was lucky last year - had a double seat to myself (and so did my wife).  If you get that, you would have room for some extras.

Note to emma17:
Did you see that Marian (Ind.) is playing Southern Oregon for the NAIA Championship on Friday? Marian beat Oshkosh 24-20 the second week of the season and Oshkosh basically had the game won, but Marian went 75 yards in :43 in 4 plays to score with 1 second remaining. Just an interesting fact...Oshkosh was good this year;)

Yes, they were. I had my doubts early in the season but it appears 3 of their losses were to fantastic football teams:

Marian U in the NAIA championship.
South Dakota State went 9-5 in D1 FCS losing in 2nd rd of playoffs to 3 time defending champs NDSU
UWW playing for D3 national championship

I am still amazed they lost to Robert Morris U (even though they were 8-3)

Looks like we can bring a cooler, but it has to go in storage under the bus.

They check the coolers too, they made people pull the beer in their coolers and put it back in their cars. Yes, it sucks, some of us went on a 15 min walk to the liquor store to get beer and bought beer though lol
