Evan Flood of 247sports reported the "The Kumerow kid ran a 4.4" same as Kenzel Doe.

These were the teams he said were in attendance:

"Colts, Vikings, Seahawks, Packers, Bills, Buccaneers, Jets, Giants, Titans, Dolphins, Jags, Falcons, Bears, Texans, Browns, Redskins all spotted so far. More coming in."

NFL Draft War Room tweet:

"There is no doubt that @UWWhitewater QB Matt Behrendt is a guy many are sleeping on. Definitely deserves a tryout."

Final numbers are in from Pro Day in Madison. Benjamin Worgull of BadgerNation on the Scout network reported "representatives from 28 NFL teams attended UW's pro day, including Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson ... Current NFL players Travis Frederick (Dallas) and James White (New England), along with former NFL and UW walk-on defensive back Jim Leonhard, were in attendance, as well as a majority of the UW coaching staff and a handful of current players. Head coach Paul Chryst was not present."

Are those code words for "have your telephone in your hand after the draft?"

Exactly...no way he gets drafted.

I read where someone wrote, "I thought this was pro day, why the hell would the Bears send a rep?"

LL has some interesting incentives involving attendance and game day revenue built into his contract, according to this article in the Buffalo News.  It will make him at least $400,000 in annual salary.

Ok, so that begs the question...What did Thurgood Dennis run the 40 in?

I saw both Matt and Jake on NBC Channel 15 sports last night.  Channel 15 is Madison station.

I agree he's a long shot for the draft, but it sure sounds like he had an excellent opportunity to show his arm as it seems from the article I read he was the lone QB at the Pro Day.

Exactly, Emma. A GREAT opportunity for Matt.

I don't think the point of the tweet was that he is NOT getting drafted. I think the point is he IS or SHOULD BE on the radar for a tryout.  As usual, I have to help 02 be thankful for the part of the glass that is half full so he doesn't dwell on the half that is empty. (Probably his RP background)  ;)

Interesting that Matt may have been the only QB there.  I did see that he threw to Melvin Gordon, who was there primarily so he could demonstrate his receiving skills out of the backfield. Considering the amount of money it could mean to Gordon if he is upgraded on any part of his overall evaluation, it's cool that Gordon trusted Matt to do the throwing for him. I saw a short video of one of the Behrendt to Gordon passes. Cool stuff. It would be amazing if Matt got a tryout. Many don't.

No matter what the tweet was intended to suggest, I was just agreeing in general that there's no way (unfortunately) that Matt gets drafted. But of course, a great experience to get invited to a NFL camp never-the-less.

Are there any other DIII QB's presently in the NFL besides Alex Tanney (Monmouth-Il) who is the Practice Squad QB for the Tenn. Titans?
