I don't like/am nervous about the parallels of this game to the 2007 game against St Cloud State. Then again, I think this team is much better at this point in the year than the 2007 team was. I think UWW can and will win, I'm just going to be nervous right up until the clock hits 0.

If we turn the ball over like we did in that game we've got a problem.  If it weren't for turnovers I think we had a pretty good shot at winning that game in 2007.  An interception and three lost fumbles cost 17 points in what was a  26-16 loss.  All four turnovers gave St Cloud short fields (less than 40 yards).   You just can't do that against decent teams and expect to win.

I just checked, they beat Lakeland 41-7 the week before which is a weak showing against them. So second game, new QB, new main receivers. Still blah!

At very least, (it's safe to assume that) we'll be able to see the Hawks' starters play a full 4 quarters for the first time this season. Anxious to see Nelson get into a rhythm...which is something he hasn't had the luxury of doing yet.
