It appears UWW is kryptonite to UWP's offense and especially to Kelly QB's. Don't like anyone getting hurt but UWW has knocked them out of the game twice in different years.

Oshkosh had over 800 net yards of offense yesterday.  I don't care who you're playing that's OMG yardage.  I knew they'd be able to score against the Blue Devils but I never expected they'd be able to put up that kind of yardage.

While I don't think they can get that many yards against UWW defense, it is obviously important for the UWW offense to find a way to put more than 17 on the scoreboard next week.

In the end, it was about toughness. Toughness was the UW-La Crosse football team's mantra all week. The tougher team would win the game, the players and coaches said. UW-River Falls showed Saturday that it's a pretty tough team by the way it finished off a 21-20 overtime victory over the Eagles at Ramer Field.

The point is this — with the present state of UW-L's offensive line play, they're severely limited. The lack of movement up front forced head coach Joel Dettwiler to give up on the running game: the Eagles ran the ball just 11 times and lost 26 yards on those attempts Saturday after entering with an average of 30 rushes per game.

Another disappointing weekend for the Eagles.  We really needed to put together a solid game to gain some confidence and did not get that done.  I did not have a chance to watch this game, but as usual the stats tell the story.

UWL Kicker misses a go-ahead 27 Yard field goal with 3:54 left in the 4th.
UWL Kicker has extra point blocked in overtime to win the game. (I have no idea if this was a low kick/poor blocking/etc)

UWRF did not replace the retired sports info guy but gave his duties to others on the athletic staff, so their time to devote to previews has evidently dissipated.

Both Platteville and River Falls are operating without a full-time SID this year and their coverage has suffered from it.

So that makes two schools (Platteville the other) without SIDs anymore. Kind of sad in this conference, but given the budget cuts, it's hard to justify keeping an SID and cutting a math professor.

True enough in the short term, but cut enough of your marketing and communications positions and pretty soon you won't have the students to fill that math professor's classroom anyway. It's a delicate balancing act.

Slobberknocker sure is accurate, for this past weekend too.
Vs UWP the other day, UWW gained 299 total yards and gave up 263 yards.  UWW gained 150 rushing at 3.5 yds per carry, which seemed more like 1.5 yds per carry.
Vs UWO last year, UWW gained 297 total yards and gave up 263 yards.  UWW gained 122 rushing yards at 3.3 yds per carry, which also seemed more like 1.5 yds per carry.

Credit to UWO and UWP for putting together excellent game plans.
