Question:  How many winking guys do you need to insert to convey you're posting with tongue in cheek?
Answer:  It depends whether you are communicating with a Johnnie or a Tommie.   ;) ;)

Have a happy Thanksgiving Oz  and the rest of you as well.

I often simply forget the  ;).  I think that makes some Johnnies upset, as though half the posts could be taken seriously anyway.  ???

Pretty quiet around these parts.  Game faces everywhere I imagine.

The season stats sure show two very similar teams in Wheaton and UWW.  Both are balanced offenses with an obvious strength in the run.  I'm curious if both teams will stick to their typical approach to play selection or if one or both will go off-script.

Playoff football, another joy to be thankful for.

Not that this will be determinative of the outcome, and I'm sure I might have some blowback, but I think Wheaton had the tougher Conference schedule for once.

On November 21, on the Iowa board there was a post with a video on Dubuque's coach Stan Zweifel being named coach of the year.  Thats no suprise considering Dubuque won its conference but what struck me is the video was filmed in Dubuque's INDOOR practice facility how many d3 schools practice indoor.  My technical skills are limited so I can't post a link from my mobile device but check it out it's impressive.

Other than Dubuque, I only know of Mount Union having an indoor practice facility.

I know we don't have one though UW has been gracious enough to allow us to practice there on a few occasions in the past.

I believe Bethel has practiced at the U during past playoff runs.  If Augsburg was still playing I suppose you could say they have an indoor practice facility as they just put their dome up for the winter.

Ohio Northern has one also but it's not an exclusive use facility.  I believe they can have all of the fall sports practice in there at the same time, though.

Pacific has an indoor practice facility...but it looks to be more like a former basketball gym that they put turf in.  Still nice, and Pacific mentions they are 1 of 3 in the NWC to have an indoor facility, though I have yet to figure out which other schools that would be.

Here is a pic of the Pacific indoor turf facility...

Can't compare to what Dubuque has  ;)

Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

Nice first half for the Warhawks @ Wheaton, 31-14. Need to keep the pedal down in this second half.

The second half could have put them away easy but bad timed penalties and a fumble at the 1 kept it interesting I guess. Time for a rematch with the Titans.

Win and advance, is the name of the game in post-season.

Warhawk's made the plays they had to; Wheaton didn't.

Game, set, match.
