I never thought emma or bobo were serious.

Am I the only one who took BoBo's comment in more of a sarcastic tone rather than thinking he was actually serious when he said that they scout, watch tape etc. etc.? I never thought for a second that he was serious. Nobody aside from the people on this site put that much effort into D3, nobody.

Say what? Now you got me questioning what I said. I could swear that it was emma who was the one who said they scout, watch tape, etc. and I just responded by illustrating why I thought that wasn't the case. I guess you and my little 개새끼, mystery smiter friend know best. Thanks for the never-ending 24/7 smites...you're a
우울한 little 좃 of a man.

I'll get you one back just for the use of Hangul. Definitely a first since I've been on the site, and way more creative than shift/top row (which I admit to using on occasion myself).

Bachar goes in the 5th round to the Padres....  Here is his summary:

The kicker and punter on Wisconsin-Whitewater football squads that won NCAA Division III national titles in 2013 and 2014 and reached the semifinals in 2015, Bachar didn't join the baseball team until last spring. He pitched a six-hit shutout in the NCAA D-III regional playoffs and ranked as the top prospect in the collegiate Northwoods League during the summer, then encored this spring by pitching the Warhawks to the D-III College World Series. He's the Badger State's best college prospect since Jordan Zimmermann came out of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2007 and Whitewater's best since Bob Wickman in 1990. Bachar has made a lot of progress in little more than a year since he returned to the mound, showing the potential to have four solid pitches. He usually operates at 89-93 mph with a fastball that can touch 95. He has good feel for spin, with both his curveball and slider featuring power and depth, and also has some aptitude for changing speeds. Bachar throws quality strikes with all of his offerings, so there are no issues with him remaining a starter at the next level. His strong build should provide him with the needed durability. There's not much projection remaining in his physically mature frame, though his stuff could get a tick better once he dedicates himself fully to baseball.
Bachar signed a contract with the Padres today for $350,000 (slot was $390,300.)

Because he did not sign a contract to play football is he still eligible to play football? But with things like winter-ball I don't think he will have time.

Perspective.
At just about 30 years removed from college, if I had money to burn I'd pay $350,000 to play a season of college football.

He's already played several season of college football. And now, he's got a chance to play pro baseball, chasing the dream of being a major leaguer.

He already has national championships in football  ;D ... now he has more cash than he dreamed of, ability to eliminate any debt he might have and chase the dream.

Don't get my persoective comment wrong, I'm not suggesting he made the wrong decision. It's his to make.
From my perspective - regardless of the number of years I was able to play, I'd still pay $350,000 to play another season of college football if I had that sort of excess cashola. The just graduating me certainly wouldn't have imagined the 30 year older me would be willing to pay that much money for another season.

At his age I had the same perspective- take the money.
At my age, money isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I'd like more money just so I could see if that is true.

In this scenario, do I have to play as 52-year old out of shape man?

That's a lot of money to pay for pulled hammies and humiliation.
I was thinking more along the lines of the time machine or genie in the bottle or whatever it was in that Robin Williams movie.
