Quote from WWWwarhawkfootball.com:

"SHOWDOWN WEEK: Terry wasn't interested in talking about a showdown with Whitewater while his team prepared for Platteville. Now, he doesn't have much choice. The Eagles (4-0, 2-0), ranked No. 6 by d3football.com, face the No. 2 Warhawks (5-0, 3-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Perkins Stadium. "We've been in a lot of big games," Terry said. "That's the beauty of a program like ours; guys have been in big games and they know how to act. We know how to play on the road and we play well at Whitewater. Our guys are looking forward to the challenge."

The Hawks have been in a few "Big Games," lately as well in case you haven't heard!!  LOL! 8) 8)  ;) :D ;D

You must really have the purple-tinted sunglasses on.  I don't see any bulletin board material in that quote.

It hardly seems inflamatory to me either.

Trust me, the WARHAWKS don't need bulletin board material to get up for LaCrosse.

Mike Emendorfer, on his radio show, said 5 UWL players were knocked out of the game and might not play against UWW. he mentioned the MLB, Tightend, @2nd string tailback. I hope all these players return as i want to see UWL play their best against UWW. I agree with Coach Terry, he does not have to bow down to UWW. Also, it is not bulletin board material If he does not feel he will win, what message is he sending his own talented Team God Bless!

I don't think it was ever meant to be inflammatory or a slam against WW.  It was simply "what they are talking about" leading up to Saturday's game at WW.

Not me.  I hope they can't play this week.  Sorry for hating.

Ok, Boys...........You are right........I was just trying to get a little something going on the board this week.  Afterall, isn't this #2 against #6?    ;D ;D Guess it was a failure if the biggest responses I got were from mostly UWW fans!   :-* :-* :-*

(I deleted the bullentin board crack.)

                                      GO WARHAWKS!!!

Pat,

Congratulations on d3football.com passing the 19-million mark on Saturday.  As a fellow publisher of a D3 football web site, those kinds of numbers simply blow me away.  You have made thousands of small college football fans very happy over the past several years.  Keep up the great work!

I also look forward to you and Keith's reporting from your "Around the Nation" tour that begins on Saturday in Whitewater.  It is "Pack the Perk" day at Perkins Stadium with a plus-10,000 attendance figure anticipated if the weather forecast holds up (55 & party cloudy).

Okay Perkins stadium might not look like it did for the first game. However I remember playing at places like Oshkosh,Eau Claire,Point,Platteville, and Lacrosse where half the garass is gone when we play them. I guarantee that will not happen at the Perk.
As the people in chagre of the stadium takes dam good care oft he field. UIt did get ebat up during the playoffs but that was also due to the weather. However unlike the palces mentioned above. All the grass will be in palce this saturday and hal the field will not be Mud. Like soem fields in the WIAC.Theree of which ahve gone to the fake stuff.

Thanks -- of course, we cover 234 teams, so the numbers are understandable. :)

I'm looking forward to it as well. We'll have photographers there as well. Looking forward to this game from afar, though, can't attend this year.

Putting in Field Turf was paid for by the Students at UWP. We play Soccer, Men and women, and football at the field. Also, it is now used frequently by all students for PE and Intramurals. This field saves money, besides providing for top quality competition. Lastly, I have been injured playing sports. It hurts! All of the Teams in the WIAC have Wisconsin in the name. lets remember this in Sportsmanship! God Bless!

Injuries or not, we'll be ready to play Saturday.

I frequent this board often and have become a little disturbed by the fact that there seems to be a couple of posters with different id's on here who remarkably both have the same awful grammar and editing skills.  If my memory serves me correctly, wasn't there a message poster awhile back who couldn't write or make sense worth a darn.  Also it was this same poster who said they wouldn't ever go on this site ever again due to consistently posting inaccurate information about a said "WIAC program"......I hope I'm just reading into this too much, but I thought that we had crossed this bridge a long time ago.  If anyone has anything to add to this feel free to chime in.  Go Hawks and stomp the Eagles.....
