I won't be having anything with Cru in the name until after the play offs

I was wondering how long it would take before someone said something along these lines. :)

Give them a break.  Our eastern brethren are a little slow on the uptake.  :P

Or maybe it shows how little we worry about the competition.   ;D

WW stands for Worry Warts! There is no possible way WW will lose to Lakeland--no possible way unless they forfeit! Congrats to former UWRF coach Kevin Bullis on Coach of the Year!

I'm pretty confident on a victory vs Lakeland. Just want a nice clean game without injuries. Put it away early and survive and advance.

Love Spotted Cow.
Some per game stats as we enter the playoffs.
2015 is based on 14 games while 2014 and 2013 are based on 15 games.
The first number is UWW, the second is opponents.

                   2016      2105           2014      2013
Pts/Game:           36/14      38/14           40/12      37/9
1st Downs:   21/19      20/18           24/17      20/13
Rushing:           198/84      223/113          218/96      167/73
Passing:      216/295      211/204         269/197      231/172
Total O:      414/379      434/317         488/297      398/245

I'm going to comment on my own post.
The biggest number that sticks out to me is the total offense yardage difference.
In 2016 UWW outgains its opponents by 35 yards on average. Every year prior UWW outgained opponents by no less than 117 yards. Yards given up via the pass is a huge difference as well.

Sorry for interrupting.  ;)

I just thought I'd add a couple more numbers to help answer the question, "Why the heck are these guys 10-0?" Here is the scoop on defensive takeaways. These numbers are all based on the 10 game regular season.

2013
28 Defensive takeaways.  4 games with 3 or more takeaways.

2014
26 Defensive takeaways.  5 games with 3 or more takeaways.

2015
21 Defensive takeaways.  5 games with 3 or more takeaways.

2016
39 Defensive takeways.   8 games with 3 or more takeaways.
(One of the two games with less than 3 takeaways was the 51-3 win over TCNJ)

Also, 2016 has seen UW-W snag at least one interception in 9 straight games and counting. In 7 of those 9, they have had at least 2. Yep, teams have gained more yards passing this year. And they have paid dearly. And the Surgeon General would be happy if I included the fact that passing a ton doesn't always work out real well for the opposing quarterback's health either.

It depends how you look at it I think.  10-0 is 10-0.  But the offense is much, much different these days.  UWW scrapped the No-Huddle and went to the Never-Huddle.  I know it's a pet peeve of mine, maybe you or others can tell me why it's a good thing (I'm serious about this as I realize I may have convinced myself it's bad without real cause).
Bleed's turnover stats seem to be the key to success.  I wish turnovers were as reliable as marching the ball down the field.

UWW 3rd Down Conversion %:  2015-45%, 2014-45%, 2013-45%.  2016- 33%.

I don't have a preference for huddle or no huddle offenses but one thing about our use of it confuses me.  I've always heard that the an advantage of the no huddle is creating a pace of play in part to make it harder for opponents to substitute.  But we substitute so often that the rule which allows the defense time to substitute if the offense substitutes works against us.  Several times this year we've had one of the officials run up and stand over the ball allowing the defense to complete substitutions before the ball is snapped.

I wish I knew what the problem was on third down.  For whatever reason this year it just isn't happening to the extent we're accustomed to.

I think it is more of a failure on 1st and 2nd. Whereas in the past there were mostly 3rd and 4 or 5, this year it seems like most the time it's 3rd and 10 or 12.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!
