Some random questions as I prep for Saturday.
-Does Johns Hopkins have enough D to beat Mt?
-Does St. John's have enough O to beat UWO?
-Will Witt's QB be more effective against UWW than Lakeland's?
-Can Coe play physical enough to have a chance at St. Thomas?
-Is this late developing Wesley team near the caliber of previous semi-finalists?
-Will NCC need to be able to run the ball to win this rematch?
-Am I wrong to think Linfield players and coaches will succeed in preventing Blake Jackson from leading UMHB to victory?
-I don't know much about Alfred or WNE, but I hope one of them comes out of this game as a serious threat to their next opponent.

My 2c:

-Does Johns Hopkins have enough D to beat Mt? They have plenty of Offense especially where UMU is weak. Defense? No.
-Does St. John's have enough O to beat UWO? St Johns D is probably better than UWO, which is saying something. But UWO Offense is much better than StJ so I say your answer is, no.
-Will Witt's QB be more effective against UWW than Lakeland's? Witt has surprised in big games this year. But not because of their QB. UWW rolls.
-Can Coe play physical enough to have a chance at St. Thomas? Even if the physical running game of Coe can play to a draw vs StT, their defense isn't good enough to slow down the Tommies.
-Is this late developing Wesley team near the caliber of previous semi-finalists?This Wesley story runs out of gas this week IMO. JCU D is too good.
-Will NCC need to be able to run the ball to win this rematch? NCC can't run it. 33 rush for 52 yds in the first match. The key is Wheaton's run game. If they keep the NCC pass core off the field, the Thunder win.
-Am I wrong to think Linfield players and coaches will succeed in preventing Blake Jackson from leading UMHB to victory? Linfield is fired up for retribution. MHB has too much fire power for the Cats. I think MHB wins, albeit a much tighter game
-I don't know much about Alfred or WNE, but I hope one of them comes out of this game as a serious threat to their next opponent. Alfred is decent at a lot, not great or terrible at much. WNE is a little worse. Alfred wins this week but not next.

Looks like it's a unanimous prediction from the D3 crew...WIAC (should) move on.

Lest you guys think I have a discriminatory bias towards officials I should mention Wheaton had a WIAC crew for their playoff game last week and they were excellent. Best crew we had all year.

I wonder if anyone knows where the CCIW officiating crew was last week ... :)

-Is this late developing Wesley team near the caliber of previous semi-finalists? Well, Wesley has been in one semi-final in the last four years and they gave up 70. If you go back to 05, they are 0-5  in the semi's with only one loss being by less than 17 points (2011 when they pushed Mount in a 28-21 loss).  So, I'd imagine the answer to your question is yes.

Great day for the WIAC.
Congrats UWO on an excellent victory, especially in the way the Titans dominated the fourth quarter.

Great day for UWW as the Warhawks continued to show dominance at the line of scrimmage.

Most complete performance by the Warhawks in a long time.

Very fortunate to have Nelson and Ringleberg playing so well.  They are both providing a great different look that helps the offense.
