Understanding there are six regular season games to be played after this weekend, IMO Saturday will tell us whether the UWW offense has reversed its three-year skid. With three games under the belt, a bye week, a senior QB, strong Oline and talent at RB and WR, now is the time to see consistent production. I'm not as focused on points as I am down and distance situations, third down conversions and taking what the defense doesn't want to give them.
Very much looking forward to this game.

Ya, me too. Also glad it's a 4 pm start, should be able to see some of it. The more I think about this game and learn about UWL, the more I think UWW gonna boat-race 'em.

Also looking forward to UWO-UWRF. Falcons don't match up here on paper, but I wonder if what they do scheme-wise is problematic for UWO. Last year, the Titans needed a late rally to steal a 31-28 win at home over a RF team that turned out to be its usual 4-6 self.

So...run into the 8 man box and throw into the nickel?

I'm not catching your drift, or reading between the lines, or picking up what you're laying down.

So put another way, the time for excuse making from the offense has passed. When UWW was playing for national championships, defenses tried to stack the box to stop the run and tried nickle and dime to stop the pass, yet somehow the O controlled down and distance, converted an effective % of third downs and typically won the field position game.

Them's da things the dub's got to get back to doin.

Yeah I missed the days where we could run, no matter the defensive alignment. Remember 4-5 years ago our running backs were getting 8-9 yards a carry in the second half....breaking the will of the opposition. Glory days of UWW offense.

Those are the days you were afraid of Linfield, no?  :)

UWO Titan 78

The Falcons lit us up in the air last year. I'm not sure they have the firepower to do that this year. The Falcon D has been susceptible to the run all season. I am hoping this is where our veteran O-Line gets us going and we can dictate the pace of play with our run game. I'm hoping for a solid all-around effort. Looking for a 24-10 win.

I think the Warhawks will roll. Something odd is going on at LAX.

Watch out for WR Herink. Looking forward to seeing what the 6-7 basketball convert can do. He's only caught 5 so far but averaging 28 yards per.

I believe that UWRF has 9 starters returning on offense this year with the same QB that played against Oshkosh. Have been moving the ball well so far. The defense looks young. I have noticed 5 freshman in the box scores for them. I am very interested in how they both come out to the bye week. I would assume that Oshkosh used the bye week to get some new wrinkles in for league play.

Whitewater game could go either way. Will the new OC switch things up and be a tough game plan for the Warhawks? I just think there are way to many distractions with losing a coach mid season. Give me the Warhawks by 20.

Ahh the good old days. My favorite was the 2010 Stagg. UWW clinging to a one score lead, but facing 3rd and 6 from their own 25 yd line. If Mt stops UWW, they get the ball back and enough time to score and win. As I recall, Mt put 15 defenders in the box- UWW only went w 11 on offense. The world knew what was coming, but just like my balding head, there was no stopping it. Coppage takes the handoff, a slight step left and bursts through the line of scrimmage, out running whatever defenders that weren't being blocked, for a 75 yard, nail in the coffin TD.

I keep trying to forget that but it seems to be brought up from time to time. Coppage was a hell of a player, no doubt. Thanks for the reminder! ☠🏈

Same here. Favorite all-time UWW moment.
