Hey, Raiderguy,
Yes, I would say that you are one of the good guys.  Don't let it go to your head!   :D Never meant to imply that BW was in my cupcake column.  ONU, Capital and BW would be the 3 (that MUC plays.) that I was referring to as, " Definitely Not Cupcakes."  Must have been a good game today.  Congrats to the Raiders on the win.  As you have pointed out, the other teams in the OAC are mixing it up pretty well this year.  Sounds like the WIAC.  I mentioned in my original post that I was talking about many conferences, not specifically the OAC.  Sorry I missed the point about  the defensive comparison.  Superfan was right about one thing........It was miserable out there today in that rain and colder than crap!!!! Kudos to UWP.  A hard fought battle til the end.

Oh, and YEH, TREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Congrats!!!!!!!! You will make the Warhawk family proud!!

Congrats, footballfan413 on a great victory today, even though the day was miserable.  The way the game went should have kept you toasty!!  As for BC, it was down the tubes.  2nd loss in a row.  Disheartening.  But they need to start working on next week now.  W & L still have no losses in the ODAC and we need to hang one on them (which I am beginning to have angst about)  I would karmalize you but it's not been long enough since I did it early this morning!!!  All the best.  Boy next week is going to be such a big game.  UMHB VS UWWW.  2 more purple teams.  Will you all go down to Belton? ???  I don't even know why I'm asking.  Of course you will.  Cheer for me.  I think it'll be one of the GAMES OF THE SEASON.   :) :)  I like both teams, having met fans of both at the Stagg Bowl the last couple of years.  (Oh, by the way, whoever gets to the Stagg, Stone Station will be there to host.  We have started planning already!!)   ;D ;D ;D
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Break up River Falls. What's happening, are they getting used to the new offense or what.

What's up with Oshkosh? Do they have a bunch of injuries or something?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Was able to see the first half of the UWL-UWEC game, which was still in doubt at half, as the Eagles led 21-14. But, according to the LaX paper, Coach Terry gave his team a scolding at half, and they came out and whooped the 'Golds the rest of the game... Put up another 21, to make it 42-14...

UWL was able to pound the ball on the ground in the the second half, which is something successful teams will be doing in the playoffs. UWL, I'm sure, is taking it one week at a time. But, with one loss already, is essentially in a playoff situation each week from here on out. Assuming Whitewater doesn't stumble, UWL might have to run the board against the rest of the WIAC for a playoff shot. Given this conference ***, it will be tough for UWL to that, but the team that showed up on Saturday should be able to accomplish that...

UWL's Eric Kettenhofer 's 41-yard TD reception, putting UWL up 21-0 in the first half, was one of the best I have ever seen in the WSUC/WIAC. Ball was headed right for a Blugold defender for an INT, but Kettenhofer stuck out his paw and made a nice one-handed grab in stride and took it on in... An ESPN grab...

*** Our prognosticators on the pick 'em board had UWO (14 pickers) over UWSP (1) and UW-Stout (12) over UWRF (3). I guess the wins by UWSP and UWRF could be considered upsets, at least by our experts here  ;), but it really just emphasizes how wacky this conference can get...

BDB- Any chance you might be coming down for the Nov. 4th game?

flash, not unless they play it at the local hockey rink.  :D

BDB is in full hockey mode until the "as yet to fall" snow has melted.  :-\

Janesvilleflash wants to know "what's up with Oshkosh?"  Just tune into FOX NORTH tuesday night and watch the last 20 seconds of the 4th quarter...

It wasn't the guys in Purple who won the game..it were the Zebra's that put the "W" up for Point.

In the paper Coach Meyer repoted that he "would be sending a tape to the league office to show the play"  that brought back the winning TD for Oshkosh with 13 seconds remaining in the game.  Well that won't do much good other then get the "CLOWNS"  (officials) off another WIAC game.

This crew should now be available for Pop Warner games on Saturdays, that is if anybody WANTS THEM!!!

Pat Coleman

It's a shame that a team as good as Oshkosh left a game in doubt in the final 20 seconds of the fourth quarter. If Oshkosh were that good, one would've thought they could've proven it in the first 59:40.

Can you give me more details about the play? God Bless You!

TO BDB: I have a lot of Sympathy for you. Looks like UWStout played well for 3 quarters and the roof fell in, again!I have never been to Stout for Hockey. Is it better than Hobbs in Eau Claire. Blessing to all, even the Flash who name calls me!

Defensive pass interference was called negating a 38 yard touchdown return with 18 seconds remaining in regulation that would have been the winning score for the Titan.  Pass interference, to a great extent, is a judgement call.  I'm not surprised Coach Meyer sees it differently.

I doubt the interception, the second on the day, on Oshkosh's overtime possession played any part in the defeat.   The two lost fumbles were probably insignificant as well.  Especially since both were returned for a touchdown.   One hundred and thirtyseven plays were run but one  call by an offical decided the game.  No offense intended but that sounds like sour grapes.

Will the Titan season turn ugly or can they rebound and finish strong?

Thank You! I think it was both the coach defending his team and reacting to a tough loss! I am not a fan of many of the calls by officials. All you can ask is that they are consistent and try and get it right. Bad calls are a break of the game. However, they hurt late in the game. PC was right to mention the other times Oshkosh had a chance to win, as well as you! Blessings to All!

Interesting that the Oshkosh loss may have hinged on a controversial call.

In the La Crosse/Eau Claire game, EC went for two after their second touchdown.  On the first try, La Crosse was penalized.  The ball was moved half the distance and they tried again.  The runner lunged for the goal line and fumbled.

The question was whether he crossed the line before fumbling.  Apparently, none of the officials could make the call!  They decided to let EC run the play again.

Brian Carroll and I agreed that neither of us had ever seen football officials not make a call.  I certainly hope that this team of officials gets some sort of reprimand.

Fortunately, it had little to do with the outcome of the game.

Hey Pat,

You are putting words in my post...no were did I mention "how good" the Titans were....And a keen observation on your part about the first 59:40 of the game....(also badgerwarhawk agrees pretty much with you)...BUT the last 20 seconds, with a tie score, this call changed a W to a L for Oshkosh!  AND THAT SHOULDN"T HAPPEN!
