This team belongs.  Offense brings the number one total yard rusher and touchdown leader (40) in D-III, Le'Anthony Reasnover.

No offense, but consider the competition. He's gonna face a new sorta D on Saturday.

I'm putting the over/under for his rushing yds at 65 and TD's at 1.5.

Elite D (with a season piling up elite stats in a great conference) > 1 Elite Back (with a season of piling up elite stats in a really bad conference).

We'll get a really nice look at what Mr. Reasnover's stats would look like if he'd been playing in the WIAC, MIAC, CCIW, etc. all these years. My gut says, he's a really solid player who has a reality check to close out his career.

27 attempts for 41 yards last year against UST gives us a pretty decent indicator of what we could expect

Maybe.  UST can monitor that from the couch this year.

lol.  That's awesome. Your team loses to UST by 39 in the playoffs and in the next year, you bust jamtoTommie in the chops about UST not making the playoffs. I don't know about your team, but your a formidable poster, lol.

I respect the cajones on that one

Oh. Woops.

Oh c'mon jamto.  UST will be fine and that's funny.   :)

Reasnover's stats will have very little to do with how good he is. His stats will be determined on whether the 5 guys in front of him can give him any room to operate. My guess is they will not.

That was my point. Elite D > 1 Elite player

How much action can I get on that 1.5 TD thing?  ;)

Yeah, I originally was gonna write .5, but didn't want to come off like a jerk.

Seeing the UST stats from last year, revised Over/Under:

40 yds rushing
.5 TD's

I would take the over on both accounts. I don't know by how much, but you're giving him no love here at all.

Interesting that the idea of 1 elite player < elite defense applies here, yet all I am hearing is how Carswell is going to run all over SNC, despite SNC having a top 10 national defense in nearly every statistical category, especially run defense....

One would think Eureka is playing a MIAC school with all the shade being thrown.

A school of 675 getting a chance to play postseason football against a powerhouse of 12,000 is a story in and of itself.

Lol. Gotta love a Lord Tennyson reference! Nice!

Hopefully, Eureka will have no more success than the Light Brigade. But far fewer casualties!

Taking the over all day.  Reasnover is an improved back this year and O-line is savvy.  Granted, we're used to playing other small D-IIIs, will be an interesting challenge to play our second FCS team in two years.

I, also, won an intramural championship in college. Got the t-shirt to prove it too.

I, for one, find it great that a small school from a lesser conference has someone on here to talk some smack! I think it adds good diversity to these boards! Especially in the early rounds where the fanbases with large representation here play teams with no representation

I'm thoroughly enjoying it, despite the significant rug burns I have from getting dragged. I'm tempted to go back and see if he did any talking before our game last year. I presume there wasn't much chatter after the game.
