Bobo, no disrespect to UWW.  Kleppe was awesome.  The best I've seen.  You know, it may have looked like triple teams because he was knocking everyone backwards!

UDubDub

roocru thanks for the shout out it was nice meeting you as well  i know the game is over however i just woke up from my texas coma  what a weekend in the lonestar state  great game great D great win great weather  ;D  best of luck to MHB in the weeks to come

Pat Coleman

That was what Keith said on the broadcast and as a former player I trust his observation. They did indeed have some success against Kleppe -- remember, he had two sacks on the first series and not another until the end of the game. But yeah, when you sell out that much on one player you lose the ability to do as much on offense.

To UWSP fans and bloggers: are you out there? How do you see the upcoming game with my beloved Pioneers. I know you pounded us last YEAR. I know you have won 15 in a row against us. Do you remember 2 years ago, on an Indian Summer afternoon, when UWP dominated the game until  the last two minutes. We lost when our corner back fell down on a 5 yard out and you tip toed another 60 yards for the touchdown. You will see this type of game Saturday, but I feel we will win!. I think our defense will force turnovers unless you hand the ball off to Childs 30 times. Mr. Childs, in Conference, is only averaging 2.7 yards per carry[88 for 239} You also do not appear to have the long play potential you have had in the past. Lastly, the Law of averages is against you. I still have not heard of any cheap restaurant recommendations for this trip. Looking forward TO HEARING FROM YOU GUYS!  God Bless!

" Gabe Schultz, a starting cornerback for Whitewater, had an interception in Warhawks territory and broke up two passes, one of which was in the end zone. The other forced a Mary Hardin-Baylor field goal attempt, which was missed."

This cornerback that D3football is referring to on the front page is the 5'6" one.  Looks like UMHB went after him as any good scouting report would tell a team to do.    A   BIG   and much deserved congrats to Gabe on a terrific performance!!!.

Nice to see a short guy, with a big heart, have a big game. Guys like this should not get overlooked, when you have many more Stars getting the credit. God Bless!

Stout has lossed some close games this year..anyone think they can pull the upset at WW..especially with the Hawk's running back injuries?

badgerwarhawk

Anything is possible and the only thing I can tell you for certain, KK, is that we won't be overlooking them or the Falcon.

I kind of doubt that Stout will be able to do what UMH-B was able to do defensively and I'm fairly confident our defense will be able to do what they did because we've done it week in and week out.

But I'm always nervous about our next opponent.  I just always worry about that law of averages thing.

Interesting stat from the UW-S - UWW game notes (accessible from d3sports.com main page):

"Here's a stat that doesn't get much attention; UW-W is the least penalized team in the WIAC and its opponents are the most penalized."

No mention if uncalled holding penalties are included in WW's total.  ;)

Hopefully our mentioning him on the front page qualifies as him not getting overlooked. :)

Mr. Coleman: I was trying to complement you. I also have an opinion on pool c for playoffs. If UWP wins out, we should get a C Bid because, our loss to Drake should not count. Then we really would have 2 losses for the rankings. Linfield, should not get an at large bid, if they lose 3 games , just because they are Linfield. I would even settle for an out of Region bid, which would be even better due to easier competition. May be dreaming, but I bleed orange and Blue! God Bless You!

RE Stout VS Whitewater: Stout can win this game if WW gets distracted with the Coach B Day.Also, you will have to play great defense and believe that they can win. You have the talent, but the odds are against you.Refer to my tribute to coach B several pages back. HE deserves his day. God Bless YOU!

Hmm, that's interesting -- your loss to Drake shouldn't count but Linfield's loss to Western Oregon should?

Work on your logic. Try using the actual NCAA criteria.

You have a point! I am just tired of WIAC teams, like UWP, ranked with the 31st best quality of wins being overlooked. Even Coach E said we may have to have UWL lose out to get in.  If we won at UWL, when we should have, we would be in, if we win out! I realize that Linfield also played D2 Schools.Blessings!PS, Yes I want it both ways because this playoff system has been so unfair to WIAC teams.
