I don't have the NFL network so I have only watched the Arizona Cardinals once this year but Platteville's Dan Arnold is getting playing time and has 12 catches for 170 yards as the Cardinals 2nd team tight end.He seems to play most in passing  situations  because at 6'6" and 225 lbs. he has a hard time blocking defensive ends.

That's great for him. He was a terrific weapon at UWP and I hope he gets many more opportunities w the Cardinals.

I watched the Cardinals awhile back and heard his name.  I thought it sounded familiar but I couldn't place it and didn't have my phone to look it up.  Goof for him.  He was a real talent and I hope he gets plenty of opportunities with the Cardinals.  Always good to see a DIII guy and even better when he's a WIAC DIII guy.  I will not however cheer for the Cardinals.  lol

Some of us do NOT love it (except that it may speed the downfall of Jim Harbaugh - loved his hiring [but then, I loved the hiring of Rich Rod and Brady Hoke, too  :o]; pretty quickly was disillusioned)! :(

It's not JUST local loyalty; I did my grad work at UM.  Being a UM fan and a Lions fan (which IS just local loyalty - they haven't been good since 15+ years before I moved here) is becoming the agonies of a masochist! ::)

We are not supposed to say "Michigan" because everyone is expected to be an Ohio State fan. Well, I'M NOT! My grad schools are in the east so I don't really care.
However, being wishy-washy at my old age, I shall probably still refer to your school as "that team up north". No name. I have to do that. Peer pressure!
Go Big 10, I guess! 🏈  ;D

Didn't realize we have two Poorman brothers "committed" to UWW. Cole and Ty.

Nice Slant

Looks like we're tapping into that Mount Union/Florida pipeline 😉

Hey! Leave our pipeline alone. It's  been good to us. We got a lot from there. Still looking good for the future. We know where to look. Furthermore..............

Er, what pipeline? 😟 ❓

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh athletics department announced the launch of the Rise as One campaign Wednesday, Nov. 17—an initiative created to help navigate the financial impact of COVID-19 on Titan student-athletes, coaches and staff.

The Rise as One campaign provides an opportunity for the Titan community to play a role in continuing the tradition of Titan athletics. Through financial support, UWO can ensure UWO student-athletes continue to compete at a championship level and foster the exciting and enriching student-athletic experience.

"The Rise as One campaign allows all Titans an opportunity to support our programs as we battle through the fluctuating challenges presented to our athletics department," Assistant Chancellor of Athletics Darryl Sims said. "We have been able to enjoy a variety of great moments during our rich history, all of which were enjoyed by our Titan family as one. We are now asking you to join us and Rise as One to support us as we look to continue to provide top tier support through your philanthropic efforts."

The Rise as One funds will be used for COVID-19 testing and athletic and program operational assistance designed to elevate the student-athlete experience. COVID-19 tests—administrated regularly—will allow student-athletes to safely return to practice and take one step closer to competing.

Titan athletics has been postponed since COVID-19 hit last March. Postseason competition for women's basketball, women's gymnastics, men's and women's track and field, men's diving and wrestling were cancelled in spring 2020, followed by the cancellation of spring sports and fall sports this season. Winter competitions for 2020-2021 have be postponed until at least Jan. 1, 2021.

Being one step closer to competing—with the help of the Rise as One campaign—is an exciting thought for Natalie Dillon, a senior on the softball team, who is an English and journalism double major from Monroe.

"I've been sidelined the last two years because of injury and the virus," Dillon said. "I want all the feelings that go along with a senior season; I want to go into my last at-bat knowing this is it. I don't want to look back on a moment that seemed so insignificant and realize that was the last time I'd ever competitively played the sport I love."

Because of the commitment from the Titan community, Dillon, her teammates and all the UWO athletics programs have the opportunity to emerge from this crisis. With the support of the Titan Nation, our Titans will rise and they will rise as one.

Found a story for you. The video on his Twitter account is Ty throwing to his twin brother, Cole. So yeah, they must have been a QB/WR combo. I clicked on Cole's page and It says he's a UWW commit (TE/LB/WR/RB). Looks like was known for his defense, won all sorts of awards....1st team all area and 2nd team all state at LB. I saw numerous members of the UWW coaching staff "liked" the video.

Looks like Ty could be the real deal at QB. Hopefully he has the patience to wait for his time.

I thought one of them was a linebacker.

I think Cole played both offense and defense.

emma17

02- Thanks very much for sharing the article- fun stuff.
"Cole's the goofy one"- makes sense for a linebacker.
I love the fact they won a state championship- I'm pretty sure former UWW QB Matt Behrendt did the same and Matt Blanchard got his team to the state championship.

The idea of the brothers attending college together is similar to a story of the Patterson twins at University of Buffalo. One is a star running back (really fun to watch) and the other a stud linebacker.
As I understand it, they'd only commit as a package deal.

I don't know MUC57, 02 is an experienced investigational journalist. If he says there's a UMU/Florida pipeline- I'm all for tapping in w a giant Y fitting to divert those precious resources our way.

I'm looking forward to a return to normalcy, meaning UWW v UMU 2021 for all the marbles.
