And Mt. Union's band, no doubt, has a trumpet section that likes to "show off". (What good trumpet player doesn't?  like to show off?)

Not even a wink?

A wink? I'm guessing if UW-0 actually had a Student Athletic Center, they could park a very nice plaque saying, "We've got a marching band!" within full view of the front door.  Probably in about the same location we have six National Championship trophies in our SAC.

In any event Coach Cerroni now has another powerful tool in his arsenal to use in a kid's living room as he continues to guide his program toward becoming another Candyland! I could't quite figure out the missing piece that kept UW-0 from winning the Stagg Bowl. I think they may have just found it.  Ok, Ok...  ;)

How will they even get to the stadium? Have their own special bus? Drive themselves? Hitch a ride with the student bus?

I like our tradition at UWW. The marching band starts near the Williams Center and plays their way into the stadium, going through all the tailgaters in the parking lot. It really boosts morale for the game...pretty cool.

Oh yeah, u

I bet our band can beat your band! So there.
Go Purple Raider Marching Band. 🎷 🎺  🍺

(We also play football, but that's another story)

Go Marching Bands! 🍺

I hear your band plays really fast but is a little undersized in the tuba section. Great execution but vulnerable against big powerful brass sections.

Ok, so what's your point? And we have a saxophone player transferring in from The Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton. Brings the lyrical rhythms of Quantuum Mechanics to the reed section.
We'll be a force to be reckoned with, or, if you prefer, a force with which to be reckoned!

Go John Philip Sousa! 🎼

Are you sure the Sax player isn't from Florida State?

Ok! One trumpet player went well past the guidelines. He has been dismissed without prejudice. I hear he is musical director at a village school in Ethiopia.

So there! 🍺 ‼️

A marching band and a couple big buses all decked out in Titan yellow and black.  Reminds me of our marching band and our big buses all decked out in WARHAWKS purple and gray.  They're looking more like us by the day.

UW-Oshkosh schedule includes trips to AL and MI. Likely still looking for a week 3 or 4 game.

Great article about Quinn Meinerz in the Washington Post this morning. Probably nothing new for you guys, but a really good profile of him and the effort he put in to be draft eligible and how it has paid off in raising his draft stock. Nice to see an in-depth piece on him instead of simply draftnick talking points.

Thanks very much for sharing jknezek- you're right the article was a great profile.
I wasn't aware he didn't market himself in high school- a good lesson for others.

Regardless of where he's drafted, I hope he has a long and successful NFL career.

Let's see how well you Whitewaterians know your history. Quinn Meinerz will be drafted this weekend. How many UWW Warhawks have been drafted into the NFL before him?
