I cannot believe that I did not get "jumped" by the posters here when i stated that UWW would receive their toughest game against Stout this week.  Maybe it was too early for you all, but I stand by that point.  The game will be plus/minus 14 points either way.

BDG-- you should have never brought that up again, the only way this game is within 14 pts is if WW only score 14 cause the D isnt goin to let Stout in the zone.   The last 2 years have been absolute blow outs and now you have to come into the Perk on Brez day..  And we have guys on O that need to prove themselves.. I would hate to be in the navy/white on sat afternoon
If you wanna be good practice till you get it right, if you wanna be great practice till you cant get it wrong..

The talent level at Stout is pretty high as well.

They have 11 all-conference players on the team.  With many of those at skill positions.

I believe Whitewater only has 6 or 7 on this years team.

I do know the debate about rebuilding and reloading, which may come in play here, but the talent level is NOT far exceeded by either team.  It is just the Northern Boys against the Southern Boys.
(Bar a few Minnesotans vs. Ilinoisians (sp?))

Wendt is also "better" than Stanley in the coaches eyes being a first team all-Conference player last year to stanley's second team bid.

I am not sure the "heat" on Stanley, but I have been told, their are teams looking hard @ Wendt.

A few High School Stats for all,
Jesse Wendt #2 All-Time Single Game Rushing Record in WI H.S. history.
18 car. - 415 yds. and 6 td
Ryan Englebert #5 All-Time Career Rushing Leader in WI H.S. history.
856 car. 5,555 yds. and 91 td
#2 All-Time Points Leader in WI H.S. history
662 Total Points
#3 All-Time Touchdowns in WI H.S. history
91 td

I understand these are High School Records, but just adding proof to the amount of talent on the list.

It sounds to me we should chalk up a loss and try and beat River Falls next week to win the conference.....Wow, 11 all-conference players and one win in conference. Gimme a break. I realize you are supporting your team but to make it sound like you have more talent on the field is simply ludicrous. By the way the six players you mentioned were all-americans not all conference....there were many more of those. Once again you come in at the wrong week.....Seniors Day, Brez day, Clinch Conference, Home Field for the playoffs----there will be no letdown because they have been focused on one thing all year and that is returning to Virginia and Stout is in the way. The question is not who will win but how much will Whitewater win by........POUND THE ROCK!!.......

I

Whitewater has 6 or 7 returning ALL-AMERICANS from last year.

Stanley would have been 1st team WIAC last year if it weren't for his former teammate Jim Leszczynski.  There is somewhat of a pecking order when you have two identical players in Leszczynski and Stanley, and I'm sure the coaches put more emphasis on Leszczynski as a senior knowing that the same award will be there next year for Stanley when he is a senior.  Individual awards isn't the point of the game anyways.  But if it were, follow this link and read on.....

At any rate, both Stanley and Wendt are extremely gifted football players, and both football teams are loaded with an abundance of talent.  I'm looking forward to a good game tomorrow.

LAX LB, when I read the post above, you just make it seem like beating the Warhawks is extremely easy.  Just stack the box, bracket Stanley, and jam the TE??  I'm sure a lot of teams have tried some form of this defense, without a "W" to show for it.  I'm not saying your an unintelligent person.  However, I don't think a lot of thought went into your above post.

Thanks for pointing that out CaptainKurt...  Still I thought it would be a good idea to keep is simple for you since your football success is only recent.

Come on people, obviously I'm not working to hard today so lets get some trash talking going.  My UWP Alumni boss thinks I'm working, just like UWP thinks they can play FB.  Anyone miss UWRF old wishbone attack.   Those were the fastest games ever, off the bus, 1 hour of brusing FB, limp back to the shower, home before Happy hour.

Speaking of bruising wishbone football, how massive has former Falcon Owen Schmidt gotten?

Anybody see him on ESPN last night? He may make the NFL as a blocking fullback. He was nailing some linebackers bigtime.

LAX LB

So did Matt Bernstine for Madison,  He looked to big, almost fat.

Here's Duffman showing his true colors at the St. John's game last Saturday.  ;D

Ouch!  Obviously, I lost a bet!!!  I think UWW will be lucky to come away with the W this weekend.  The Blue Devils are tough this year, and they're hungry after one too many 2nd half breakdowns.

I was just on Mount Unions Football web site.... I really hate that team, there arrogance is second to none and I played at UWL.  I really hope that when a team from this confrence gets another shot at them, please stick it in, turn twice and repeate 100 times.

i dont miss that offense one bit ... for too long a had to stand on the sidelines and watch the defense struggle with that mystical mess ... the boys got it right this year though ... and theyre gonna get it right tomorrow with the pointers ... has point gotten a new field in up there yet??? i remember playing on a torn up frozen mud whole every year with all the local teams that played on it.

and cappy who are you to say anything about putting thought into a post ... you called me a toolbox for goodness sake ... you couldnt come up with anything better than that?? ... next time, man up and do it to my face and not under the cover of a forum ... for that matter ... at least LaX LB works for UWP alum .. the closest you'll get to one is when youre pumpin my gas in my new infiniti m35x (for jvilleflash!) ...  that is if you ever graduate .. oh and by the way .. i put only premium in my car .. thanks
