Dang, not much love for LaCrosse in this room, is there...

Unlike other UW-W posters, I actually DON'T have much love for La Crosse. But I do respect their 2021 team. I actually think they have a shot to surprise NCC. But as blasphemous as it sounds, I won't be rooting for them against NCC. I want UWW to play NCC again in the worst way.
Bleed, I think NCC wants to play Carnegie Mellon in the worst way this weekend and to make a statement regarding the #1 overall seed. If there is anything that the Cardinals have learned from the great UWW and Mount teams is that you can't look past ANYONE this time of the year to potential 3rd or 4th round opponents.  You also can't take your foot off of the necks of your opponents... a lesson the Cardinals learned on 12/4/10; 11/26/11; and 12/14/13.  I don't think that you will find anyone sneaking up on NCC at this point... eyes wide open.  +k on looking forward to a rematch of 2019.
Very true about not looking past ANYONE!  I will forget about NCC and refocus on what's in front of me. I will lock in on the Greenville Panthers like there's no tomorrow.  I will look at every stat, study their video closely, and leave no stone unturned until I discover weaknesses the Panthers didn't even know they had. I will learn the names of their stars and try to learn the name of at least one offensive lineman just for good measure.  I will build up a holy hate for the Panthers to be sure that on game day I have the proper edge.  Wheaton, St. John's, Linfield, and NCC are dead to me. From here on in, I am a Panther-hunter. Period.

I hope it helps.

Laughing my ass off.  You can always take comfort in the fact that you have 2.5 points for your home field advantage at The Perk.  Those points may help you past the Panthers in this weekend's nail-biter.

Two and a half points, schmoo and a half schmoints.  We are going to take dead aim and punch them between the "T" and the "H" on their jerseys (punching them in the mouth would draw a flag, putting in to question one of the greatest motivational lines in football lore) every single play!

My greatest challenge this week is figuring out how to give 110% and stay within myself all at the same time!

Go Warhawks!
Pound the Panthers!

Won't the Panthers will be wearing their whites? aim between the 'N' and the 'V'

Oh no!  I didn't even realize their whites had Greenville on it. I will get on my group text immediately and have the boys strike between the "N" and the "V".  And I don't expect them to simply hit the "N" and the "V", they need to be driving THROUGH the "N" and the "V". We're going run to the left. We're going to run to the right. We're going to fight, fight, fight!

Go Warhawks!
Pound the Panthers!

I never considered the possibility of COVID forfeits during the playoffs.
What a disappointment for the NCC and Carnegie Mellon programs- cant imagine.

From UWL's perspective, if they are to advance tomorrow, they lose a playoff game's worth of video on NCC.

Is there an argument for NCC maybe having some rust to shake off from the bye week?
You win! You always do!

I think there is. Unless a team is really banged up, I think there is greater value in keeping the momentum going week to week.

Agreed. Plus, often for a #1 seed, the disparity in talent in a first round game allows them to rest some of their banged up guys anyway. I'm sure they would rather play.

As far as the video issue, I'm guessing the may allow their second round opponent to watch the Milliken game?

What's the information on the NCC cancellation?

River Falls caps an 8 win season by beating Wash U in the Culver's Bowl in Verona, 48-27. Outstanding season for the Falcons. No attendance listed in the box score that I saw or # of Butter Burgers served.

River Falls was really a fun team to watch this year. Congratulations to the program on a terrific season.

UWL was impressive today as they were dominant from the start.

Next weekend should feature some Jim-Dandy games.

Congrats to all 3 WIAC teams today. Showed excellence of the conference and depth.

UW-RF had 44 first downs today.  Is that a lot?

I know that it would have been tough to align in a different way, but, it is really fortuitous for the UWW team to play two 2 loss teams in their first two games, and not play an undefeated team, possibly in the semis. Meanwhile, for the Johnnies to reach the Stagg, they probably have to beat 4 undefeated teams, all Conference winners. Enjoy your easy ride Warhawk fans.
