WIACFan,
I don't have LaBuda's record in the last 15 years, but you are right about people getting frustrated with his success.  He has won or shared the Big Rivers title 13 of the 15 years, has 4 state championships, has won 15 of the last 16 and 43 out of the last 45 games, never lost at Williams Stadium, and is ranked #1 again this year by the AP.  You can watch his team play on Fox Sports network next Thursday at 7:00.  It's the MidWest Sports channel and it will be the rebroadcast of the MHS/EC Memorial game.

I caught you in High Definition on my big screen last Saturday at Camp Randle, congrat's, your looking good even though your sporting cardinal and white.  I think I could read Lloyd Carr's lips after he saw video of your epic 'catch and run' against UW Eau Claire last year, I think he said "What a play". No wait that was after John Stocko's quarterback draw for the winning touchdown.

Week 5 picks
La Crosse, can't wait to spank someone, over Point >:(

Stout, over Waldorf ::)

River Falls runs all over Titan Stadium and beats Oshkosh :)

Whitewater does it without secret weapon,1_and _27, just gets by Eau Claire ;D

It looks like the UWEC vs UWW game can be viewed over the internet this Saturday.

Picks: La Crosse has had the Pointers spooked over the years. Eagles win. Stout, WW, and RF also pick up wins this week.

Picks

LaCrosse over Point
Whitewater over Eau Claire
Stout over...who ever

and the Oshkosh/River Falls match up.

Yes River Falls has a great running game (lets not talk about their passing game) but Oshkosh has been very good against the run. Remember, Albion went backwards, not forwards against Oshkosh (-4 yards rushing). Also, did anyone forget how bad River Falls is on defense? Hello....they are giving up more then 475 yards a game!!!

Patek throws for more then 250 yards, and 3 TD's (2 to Stoltz).

Oshkosh wins 27-14

Picks for the week:
La Crosse over Point = LaX dominates, then goes 'festing.
Stout over Waldorf = Waldorf will be glad to be done with the WIAC...
River Falls over Oshkosh = going with the majority here.
Eau Claire, 14-10, over Whitewater, in a defensive battle, to avenge last year's lost.

If I never have to listen to the announcers on the WW-EC game, it won't bother me at all.  They are horrible!

Blugold45 - which announcers are you referring to? The webcast feed guys, or the regular announcers? The web feed guys, I believe, were UWW students? Not sure about that...

I watched the feed, which was great, and listened to the regular UWEC guys on the radio. Only problem was the feed was a play behind. And the Blugolds still couldn't stop the Hawks... Ha.

Other than that, it was neat to watch the game. Radio guys said that whoever did the feed ultimately wants to put all the WIAC games on the net, for a subscriber fee. That would be great. And if it carried over into hoops...

I give Whitewater credit; I picked the Blugolds to rebound after last year's loss to them. But they dominated this game; I'd say they were more impressive than SJU was against EC. That domination manifested itself in the 4th quarter, when the 'Golds had three straight stupid penalties in frustration, I believe...
