So Stagg (Never)Again,

You say Muhlenberg played NCC every bit as close as Whitewater, who was your opponent in the Championship game, and then you backpedal when called on it here and point out that you ranked Mt Union AHEAD of UWW (or Muhlenberg) . And you did all this on the WIAC board. Do I have that right?

Keep talking....this is entertaining.
USee you are quite comical as always.  The original quote that you pulled a single sentence from had absolutely nothing to do with Mount Union, but was in reference to a mock Top 10 on the MIAC board where Miacman indicated that "We all know how Muhlenberg faired when they finally played somebody good."  My point was that the Mules had played NCC the same way that UWW had in the championship game, and "I wouldn't let that be your measuring stick" (for where to rank Muhlenberg).  North Central was on a roll at the end of the 2019 season, and I don't think that it was completely appropriate to use that one game against NCC to assess the Mules' entire season.  In fact, as you highlight in the footer of all of your posts, I made my thoughts very clear in December 2019 regarding the final rankings.  I have not "backpedaled" at all from any of my comments.  It just appears as if you, yet again, failed to grasp the meaning of simple commentary and attempted to bastardize it to serve your purpose.  I have no problem continuing this dialogue, but am quite certain that the good folks on the WIAC boards could give a crap about how I thought the 2019 Muhlenberg team was better than Wheaton.  If you would like to continue with this conversation, you are free to pm me any time USee.

Sorry guys!  :o

what's a Muhlenberg?
What a perfect response.  Thank you for bringing the humor D3fanboy.

Offensively they have a solid running back and very good receiver.  Their O'line is big. The QB is good, a transfer from South Dakota.  He's big with a strong arm and can move about.

Defensively I was impressed with the lateral quickness of the linebackers.  They have size up front and they are very physical.

I don't think there's any question that this is the best team LaCrosse has put on the field in some time.    But they've got their work cut out for them.

If I can interrupt this CCIW debate, here's some pretty big WIAC news..UWP's Mike Emendorfer retiring after 23 years.

I don't mind the CCIW discussion. I enjoy seeing the passion that comes along with being a fan.
It also motivated me to look back at the 2019 season and I was surprised to see it was Del Val (after the Mt game) that actually put up the best fight against the NCC steamroller. I believe it was a 17-14 game late in the third quarter. The NCC scores from the 2019 season look eerily similar to the 2021 season.

In listening to the podcast a good point was made that UWL has deliberately prepared themselves for a game against a team like NCC by scheduling Grand Valley State. In addition, they have the game with UWW. A case can be made they've seen the type of size, speed and ability of championship level teams.
I just don't know that they will have enough to stay within 3 TD's though, I hope they do.

Del Val had a nasty defense in 2019 and it appears that it is just as formidable in 2021.  I know they lead the country in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense and passing efficiency defense this year.  That 2019 game was a battle.

According to Platteville's website Mike Emendofer is retiring as Platteville's Coach. OC Ryan Munz was named interim coach. According to Platteville's AD a national search will be conducted. Emendofer leaves Platteville with the most wins.

Congratulations to Coach Emendorfer. I appreciate all he poured into this student-athletes and the football program at UW-P.

Coach Emendorfer was not only a good coach but a gentleman too.. According to individuals  on the UWRF chain gang, he was the only coach to thank the chain gang people for volunteering each year he appeared in River Falls.
