Duffman--Who, exactly, "beats their chests?" I'm almost the only poster for UWRF, so you may be referring to my posts. Which ones? Don't be vague. UWRF, over the past several years, has no reason to crow.

I think he's talking about St. Olaf...not UWRF.

I have been lurking for years and probably should come on here and say hi!  As the screen name indicates, I am a fan of Whitewater, and a former member of the Marching Band, helping Warhawk fans strut since 2005 (but I started in 2003).  Here's to another great season in arguably the best conference in Division 3!

Dang. You really did register in 2007 and this is your third post? Wow!

Yeah, I usually don't have as much to contribute to the conversation, however I'm hoping to do more of that this year!  2007 was actually my 5th and final year in college, and there were plenty of pictures from that Stagg Bowl that are fond memories (including a jubilant me hoisting my tuba in the air as we marched to our first National Championship).

Beginning part of the season should be very interesting with some MAJOR matchups to start the year, two of which involve my Hawks.  I would say 3, but I'm not sure if Berry is back to the form they were in just a few years ago atop the SAA.  That seems to be Trinity's league to win at this point, maybe with BSC behind them.  I'm actually going to be at the UMHB game sitting in my usual spot right next to the band, and seeing the debut of some brand new uniforms for the band as well!  Playing against the presumed #1 team isn't a bad trade off either...

Sorry.  Yes, I meant St. Olaf.  They tend to have an attitude (an undeserved one).

A tradition unrivaled...

Good news for Warhawk fans!  Don Wadewitz has graciously offered to help me with warhawkfootball.com!

This year, he will be posting some articles and at some point (maybe after the season, not sure) he will be helping me redesign the site.

Don has weekly time scheduled with Coach Bullis, so his posts will provide great insight as the season goes on.

Here is his first post, posted today: "Inside the Warhawks 2022 schedule"

palum

Platteville looses its season opener at D2 Michigan Tech 23-13. Game was even stat wise Platteville got most of their yards through the air. Don't know much about Michigan Tech except they are picked to finish 3rd in the GLIAC behind defending D2 Champs Ferris State and Grand Valley State. Platteville's home opener is September 10 against Bethel.

Anyone from Wisconsin that doesn't sign their name "X".

Yes, I use "Y."

Reminds me of a childhood song:

"Y" ?, because we like you. M I C, K E Y, M O U S E: Oz Johnnie, Oz Johnnie.

Thanks for the articles Bleed (and Don), great stuff to read as we await the opening kickoff of 2022.
Such a great opportunity for the new Warhawk players and coaches to make a name for themselves.

Thanks, Emma.  Don especially. The last three are all him. I appreciate him coming aboard so much!!

They just need time together. By the time conference play begins they should be better. By then we'll hopefully have a 1-2 record going into WIAC play. As far as players retuning from the previous year this has probably been as sparse as we've ever seen it. Holte might be the only retuning starter from last year's offense.
