Not saying anything is wrong with Bullis and Jace, but it seemed to me those two were shoe-ins for the position. Bringing in outside candidates was more of a formality and not really seriously considered. Unfortunately.

I am okay having a defensive minded head coach with serious ties to the program as long as they hire people who offset their expertise. The current OC is a holdover from the Bullis era, who had ties to the program and was previously on staff under Jennings, who also couldn't seem to coach big games...an outside hire at that position could make all the difference.

There's gotta be someone out there who wants to Pound the Rock, but also maybe, I don't know, put someone in motion before the snap and scheme someone open?

A defensive-minded coach is one thing, however I do think they should have an offensive philosophy they want the OC to implement- in a particular way. I know "philosophy" can be multi-layered, not so easily defined. I imagine all three of the OC's from 2015 to present had a pound the rock philosophy (which I understand doesn't mean run the ball all the time) in the big picture. However, it's the finer points that have been missing from this offense for a long time now.

Does anyone in here think that UWW would even consider making a move at HC? I could see making a move at OC at the end of the year but I think we need to give Jace his chance. In my mind tomorrow is a huge one for him and UWW. When is the last time UWRF beat UWW? Do not want that streak to end tomorrow if you are Jace and staff. On the flip side huge opportunity  for UWRF and Coach Walker

2001...The WARHAWKS winning streak is 21.  Not that any of them matter tomorrow.

Big Mark-- I have been a Falcon fan since 1943, when I was 10. So the last 3 years have been fun.We have come close to winning several times, including last year when we led until late. I think we have a good chance tomorrow, but we'll have to keep penalties and turnovers to a minimum and keep the WW running game in check. I was a dorm director at UWW in the 60's when Perkins was coach and l was there when the stadium was built.
WORLD'S OLDEST FALCON FAN.

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

28-25 in 2014 was a classic game- River Falls played great.

FF, You've been a Falcon fan since 1943 when you were 10. That puts you at 90-91. River Falls pep talk should be "Win one for Fred Falcon!"

I swear that the Whitewater QBs are coached to close their eyes before throwing a pass.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

The Third Division

Why the heck didn't whitewater take the 53yd fg to be up by 9???

WIACer

Figure they get clock and still kick a fg. Falcons 4 and 1 and a slant. I'm sure they want that back.  WW playing chess, Falcons playing checkers. Not sure I have seen Falcons win a big game when needed. I maybe wrong. but for 3 years it's like almost. UWW staying alive!

WarhawkDad

Don't understand not taking the field goal.  Yes, it turned out okay, but a two score lead with 3 minutes left would have put the game away.

Also, WW offense is lackluster and I don't think it is the players, although Quarterback play this year has been suspect

Why do teams think Grey jerseys look cool? I watched half a drive thinking UW-Stout was UWL before I paid attention to the helmets  :P

Platteville wins 42-14 at Stevens Point. Stevens Point scored right before half and early in the 3rd quarter to make it 21-14. But it was all Platteville after that. Priami was 23 of 27 and 4 TDs. Alex Marre a freshman RB who hasn't played much this year led Platteville's rushing  attack with 150 yards while Zach Bothun had 103 yards. Platteville hosts EC next week.

A win is a win, against a solid team too. Offense was just good enough today. They had one very good drive where they had things clicking. Then lots of shots in the foot. Missed opportunities on down-field throws to open receivers. Can't remember a time where we went to our FB so frequently before. Our RB1 hurt? Only saw the backup and Martin get carries.

Defense was outstanding with short to mid range plays. We are so fast to the ball. However we continue to struggle on stopping big plays. Have to give UWRF credit, he threw some dimes down the field, in-stride. Which is something UWW really struggles with on offense. So many points left off the board today for UWW.
