I'm listening to the post game press conference by SNC and they sound very gracious in defeat.  Saying they thought they had a good game plan, but WW is just to good, they said the WW O-Line was the fastest they ever played, the wide-outs, too.  Basically indicated they were affraid of the speed on the ends and played deep to protect themselves, but gave up a lot underneath to compensate.  The players and coach were very impressed.  The coach said that if you had told him on Wed. his team would have scored 17 points, he would have been real happy.

BoBo,

No SNC players flipped off the UWW, I hope! ;D

To Duff: Enjoy your trip to the Left Coast courtesy of Bethel College. 1 game at a time. God Bless you!

I don't even know if that is supposed to be an insult.

No, actually they went on to say they were organizing a team car caravan to travel back to Perkins in 2 weeks to see the Johnnies get mauled.  However, certain faceless sportswriters indicated at the press conference they didn't think the Johnnies could get by Whitworth.  That comment brought down the house!!

Yeah, and the press is alwyas right (just look at the 2003 Stagg Bowl picks ;)).  Actually, I only ask because in 2003, a player from SNC flipped off the entire SJU stands.

Seems like you're awfully worried about the Johnnies, though!  Better not overlook LAX this week.

You're absolutely right.  LaX is going to be a stern test, esp. after beating them once already.  I made the comment a couple weeks ago that of all the west teams, LaCrosse could prove to be WW's most difficult foe not just because they are WW's biggest rival, but they are that good.  I think SJU enjoys their trip to Spokane and wins comfortably.

Duff-
Perhaps BoBo thinks that SJU would have played at LAX today and lost were it not for the result last weekend.  Having said that, Im not sure if it's an insult either. Congrats and best of luck to LAX.

If SJU wins last weekend against Bethel and finishes the season 10-0 and MIAC Champs, no way they go on the road for a 2nd round, let alone a first round game!

TO Duffman: I guess my post was a small cut, sorry not to occasionally trash you Johnnies back. It was also an attempt at humor. You have to admit the lose to BC could be potentially devastating. Have a good weekend and God Bless You!

SF77 - If St John's wins at Whitworth next Saturday, they will, in all liklihood, play 12/2 at Whitewater. Right where they would have been if they beat Bethel. Not too devastating.

....and I'd say based on what I saw at LX yesterday and what WW did to LX earlier in the year, SJU's season will be over!!  I really hope SJU wins, I'd like to travel to that game in a few weeks.  I'd also like to meet a few of you boys from SJU, especially TDT.  I can't imagine he's as big of an ass in person as he is out here!!

Scrubby41

I'd be interested to know from those that saw the game yesterday and know the WIAC, where would BU finish in that league??

Congrats to UWW on your round 1 win. The CRU will try to keep up their end of things so the Purple CRUsh can pay a visit to the Badger State in December... the weather should be down right invigorating!

One play at a time... one drive at a time... one game at a time.
