Anyone from LaX know the health status of the Eagles RB's?  Seems someone from Bethel was boasting that they knocked them out of the game and they missed significant playing time.  Difficult to gauge the validity of the statement since it originated with the Bethel fan and was on the MIAC board, but it would be a major blow to LaX's chances if Geldernick and Hall were to be anything less than 100%.

The box score play by play indicates both Hall and Gildernick were playing in the closing minute of the game.  I didn't review the entire game but if they were "knocked out" they were sufficently healthy to return and finish the game.

not thoroughly impressed with the Whitworth team when they played at Stout.  The QB was not the star I had heard about and the TE did not play as lights out as was expected.  I have St. John's winning by plus 5.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Thanks for being diligent and checking that fact.  I haven't had the time.
I kind of had a feeling that was the case, but you never know. Going back to the post, it said each were banged up.

Regarding the UWL running backs -
The La Crosse Tribune had this to say:

INJURY REPORT: Tailback Dan Hall, left guard Randy Gyllin and outside linebacker Drew Kiefer all limped off the field at different times Saturday but Terry said a day made a big difference.

"Guys we had concerns about yesterday seem to be OK today," Terry said Sunday. "We'll know more Monday but generally speaking we got out of it better than we thought."

GO WARHAWKS!!  GET THE PLAYOFFS STARTED WITH A POWER WIN!!
I see a lot of guys made the All WIAC team.  I was especially pleased to see Pete Schmidt make it!!  Met his parents at the Stagg Bowl 2 years ago.  Hope Justin is healing well; but how he could be ready for tomorrow, I don't know.  And I have had both collarbones broken, so I know whereof I speak.
I want to give a shout out to the OLine.  As far as I am concerned, you are the cream of the OLines in the WIAC and the idea that there are other people on that all conference first team whose team is not WW is totally beyond me.  But I might just be a bit prejudiced.   ;D ;D
Kudos to the defense as well.  It takes a whole team, those on the field, those on the sidelines to make it happen.  We want to be playing for a while so give it your best tomorrow!!!  All the best.  Sending out e-brownies of good luck to you.  Remember the brownies at the Stagg Bowl last year--they will be waiting for you this year too.  Do Coach Brez and his whole coaching staff proud!!  I'll be wearing my Whitewater Warhawks Hoodie tomorrow and wishing you a great Saturday of football!!  When you see footballfan413, give that great fan a fabulous game to enjoy!!!

Here's a shout out from Wisconsin to Olinemom.  Thanks for the kind words about Pete and all the UWW players.  What a great group of guys.  They are focused on one game at a time.

By the way, your brownies were incredible.  What a treat!  Hope to see you again.
Seems like the guys took care of business on Saturday.  I was home in LUray where they haven't yet discovered computers (not true, but my Mom doesn't have one so I didn't know how the game finished.  Pete had already scored a TD before I left and WW was comfortably ahead, but you just never know.  I was happy when I found out that we had played so well and that Coach Brez had substituted a bunch of guys.  Someone said that Justin was suited up but that he didn't play.  Just as well.  With 59-17 there is no need to risk further injury to JB.  Hope they stay focused.  It seems to me that this coming game is going to be very INTENSE!!  It's hard to beat a good team twice in one season.  They have already seen us once and can plan better.  We can too, I know, but they have, perhaps, more incentive, because they lost last time.  However, I have faith in our guys.  I think the OLINE will continue its stellar efforts so that we score early and often.  and the D will be up to the task as well.  All the best and feed those young men some good Turkey this week!!  I am really missing not having any players coming to our house for Thanksgiving this year.  Sigh!!  They will just have to do better during the season and earn their way back into the playoffs.  Stone Station is already, of course, planning the tailgate.  As you can imagine, my job is the brownies.  E-brownies to all of you and I plan to listen and wear my Whitewater hoodie next Saturday.!!  Hope to see you down in Va.!!  One game at a time.
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Congrats to UWW's Ryan Kleppe being named one of the ten finalists for the 2006 Gagliardi Trophy.  He's been a terror all year for O-lines and is well deserving the honor.  Good luck the rest of the way!!

Someone asked whether we can slow down Whitewater's running game this time.

Frankly, I expect Whitewater to win this weekend.  They just looked awesome last month.  However, it is always a bit of a challenge to beat a team twice.  I suspect that it will be closer than before.

Unfortunately, I can't go.  I have plans in Michigan for the weekend.

BW, could you give us an update on Tommy P.?

Tom is doing pretty well actually.  His recovery is still a work in progress but he is coming along nicely.

Good clean cut on the SF, I thought the Johnnies opponent was in California. I get confused, they are all Blue States anyway. I recall that UWL had a lot of players injured in the first game against UWW. I also recall several fans saying they were glad that they were injured. I might go to the game. guess which side I will be sitting on? God Bless!

We are with BadgerWarhawk on this one. Z is the man for the job......

I feel it would be a travesty if Z did not get the job.  Expect more big things if (when) he does.

Congrats on getting both WIAC teams through the first round!  Bethel put up a better fight than I thought they would.  Good luck to both teams, but I see UW-Whitewater surviving to the next round.

Congrats to Ryan Kleppe on being nominated for the Gagliardi Award. I believe there is no one in Division 3 football who has played his position better than him this year......he has dominated his opposition whether double teamed and actually changed the course of that individual game. Besides all that he is a wonderful young man. POUND THE ROCK!!!!!.....

Congrats to Kleppe on his nomination. He was beast against UMHB a few weeks back.
