WARHAWKS dominate with 663 yards of total offense (297 rushing, 366 passing) and blow out the Pointer 44-12 at Gerke Field.  The 663 yards set a new WARHAWK record in the Point series.  Justin Jacobs goes 16 for 29, 316 yards, one pick and two TD's.  Justin Beaver carries 34 times for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  Derek Stanley has 4 receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown.   Neal Mikverka and Lance Douglas also score touchdowns.

WARHAWKS open game with 89 and 92 yard touchdown drives.

Michael Chalk goes 3 for 3 on field goals of 32, 39 and 23 yards.

Defense plays very well holding Point to 82 total yards in the first half and 255 for the game.  Derek Brown gets two picks.

I understand Borchart is playing with multiple injuries.  It's a shame, he just isn't the same player he was last year and the team around him isn't that strong either.   No offense intended but Point was overrated.

The stats are nice, but what was the final score of the Whitewater game?

Titan fans had to endure another very stressful game today. Fortunately this one had a much better outcome. Once again, offense struggled and defense carried the load. Play-calling on 3rd down was questionable for the Titans. How many times do we have to call a draw on 3rd and 10+ and get stuffed before we realize it doesn't work? Oh well. Titans win, that's what's important. HAIL TITANS

;D I agree Stevens Point has been over-rated this year.  They can claim a pretty tuff schedule, but will need more than their punter and kick coverage package to show up at their games. Their pep band played better.

Points melt down was magnified by the Warhawk second offense coming into the 4th quarter to a short field (and Pointers 1st team Defense) set up with a great Mrkvicka (I believe) return.  Basically, three plays and out, for a touchdown that is!  Nice job WARHAWKS, looking forward to a great game in La Crosse next week!

WSUFan

Next week's game is going to be incredible. This should be another La Crosse-Whitewater classic. If you're coming for the game, come early, they are already expecting a huge crowd.

What happened to Platteville.  Last year they were 4-1 at this time this year there 1-4.  What changed?

Stout gets too much attention nationally for pounding the sisters of the poor early on in the year.  OVERRATED!

That's why we had them #23. Talk to the AFCA, which ranked Stout #16 this week.

A couple of thoughts regarding Whitewater's 44-12 win at Stevens Point.

Warhawks opened the game with a nine-play, 89 yard drive followed by a four-play 92 yard drive with both drives resulting in TDs.  When is the last time a visiting team has accomplished that at Point?

Warhawk offense also finished with 663 yards of total offense, the most ever allowed by a Stevens Point team.

With that said, the Pointers have been decimated by injuries. Running back Cory Flisakowski was lost for the season earlier this year.  Leading wide receiver Cody Childs did not play yesterday due to injury. WIAC leading tackler, Brandon Czys and leading defensive back, Chase Kostichka both left yesterday's game with injuries.  When a team has those kinds of injuries, to those kinds of players, it is difficult to win against anyone in this league.

I still think the Warhawks are a very good team and I'm looking forward to Saturday's game at La Crosse.

Pioneerbacker

Not much new from Platteville...the defense is really struggling.  The offense actually played well on Saturday against LaCrosse, but the 22 points UWL put up in the 2nd really hurt.  Pioneers get their first conference win this Saturday against Oshy, despite the defensive struggles.

WEEK 7
WARHAWKS over La Crosse ;D

Platteville over Oshkosh :D

Eau Claire out lasts Stout  ::)

Stevens Point rebounds, beats River Falls :)

HA...good one. Remember, Platteville's strength was on the offensive side of the ball. And they haven't been impressive whatsoever this year. Don't expect much Pioneer fans for homecoming. The only thing that you guys might have for an advantage is revenge.

Revenge for a team last year that everyone had high hopes for...but walked into Oshkosh getting crushed 54-6.

With or without Patek, Oshkosh wins this one thanks to Andy Moriarty and the Oshkosh defense.
