This is one of those post that lets you know that people really do stop and think of the big picture...

I agree with SJU09, sure.  He states the truth.  But really... This is a message board for fans.  The 'Serious, looking at the wider, bigger picture type guy' is only one of a large number of persona that one may choose to project here.

All this effort from the UWW folk trying to pressure the Johnnies into admitting that the 'Serious poster type guy' is the only legitimate type smacks of insecurity to me.  Sounds like you folks are really, really hoping your team is good, but are afraid it isn't.  And the only serious poster is the one that admits Warhawk world domination.  Sounds just like a woman asking if her butt looks fat.  "No really tell me the truth.  You're not being serious.  How about now?  Does it still look fat?"

My prediction: your team has as much self doubt as you all have in them and they choke.

28 - 21, Johnnies.

And my mom can beat up AND outdrink all of yours!  ;D

Oh, don't be so modest.  Rumor has it your mom does a lot of things much more than other moms... ;D  Although she has a lot of competition in Wisconsin.

HEY, HEY, HEY, now!  A guy can talk about his own mom or sister but if anyone else tries to do it......

Isn't this a violation of the unwritten rule of the Boy's Club regarding trash talking someone's mother?   ??? ??? ???   ;D ;) 8)

Yeah, it's kind of the ultimate provocation.  If you're truly offended, my apologies.  If not, then I'm not surprised you would mock offense since I've heard your sister.... :(

Q.  Honey, do these pants make me look fat?
A.  No, but your thighs do.

I was joking, of course, Didn't my cute trio of smiley's, one winking, one grinning and one being cool, give it away?   Guess I should of added a  "LOL" to be safe.  :-*

Sakman- Your post about the relative strenghts of the two teams is pretty close to what I have thought for a while. The only caveat is, as I'm sure you're aware, "on paper."

The storied history of the St John's football program is relevant for one very good reason. The man behind about 430 wins in that storied history is still there. History doesn't just happen, it's a result of people making certain decisions, and what results from those decisions.

Bah! If you take my apology and fling it to the ground with truly disgusting throwing motion then it is I that must take offense!

Retagent, I can't disagrree with anything you say. Certainly G's. ominous record demands our respect. I read his book and it was terrific but at this stage of his career I will put my $$$ on Brez, Z , Borland. I hope I have not committed some type of sacrilige to you Johnnie boosters....no malice intended just my opinion.....

Others may take you to task, but I look upon it as a guy supporting his own school, team, coaches, etc. Just like Puddy, "Gotta support the team , Man." My knowledge of the Warhawk coaching staff is limited, so I'll always think the Johnnies have a superlative bunch of coaches, but I have little to compare it to.

The weather forcast for the next few days is looking kinda like winter.  The game Saturday will not be as pleasant (weather wise) as last week.  All you Johnnie fans drive carefully and hlep us "pack the Perk".

I think the "Hawk" is hungry!!!

I don't know about the rest of the posters but I will admit it.  The Warhawks are scared to death of the Johnnies.  I hear half the team didn't show up to practice this week.    ;)

Apparently, they didn't show up to practice because they were too busy reading Post Patterns!

How do you think they got scared in the first place?  ;D
