Getting back to the UWW-Linfield game last year, that was one for the ages. We enjoyed meeting the great Whitewater fans tailgating in the parking lot, too, and were impressed with how well you guys traveled.

That was a game that you truly hated to see either team lose. Two outstanding programs with two well-coached teams. I hope you have a game as exciting this Saturday. I expect to see you in Salem.

Right back at you, Coco.  The Linfield folks were incredible hospitable and Brett and the Cat's were amazing.  It WAS a HELL of a game!  The best I have ever seen.  But I really hope we don't have as exciting a game on Saturday as that was.  My heart can't take it!   ;)

Where is TDT??  How come he is not spewing his arrogance and hate all over the board like usual?

Is he nervous, unsure or maybe even scared of the outcome this weekend

Nah, it's his time of the month.

You guys are insane.

In other news:

It is sooo nice to start the day with a belly laugh.  Thanks Duff and you too, Retagent, for the June and Ward  response as well as Kubiak. I laughed my a$ off!   ;D  I would import mulitple quotes into one post like KR always does but haven't figured that one out yet.  JUST figured out how to import pics, remember?  Will just have to settle for + karma for all of you (and the WIAC posters) when the imposed 24 hours is up!  Time for my weekly chant.

GO WARHAWKS.........GO WARHAWKS..........GO WARHAWKS

It's the most efficient way I can catch back up to everything that happened in the day.

I remember the day you learned how to use pics, it was a proud moment for me, tears came to my eyes... then again it could have been gas.

I think KR is the one without the face paint. ;)

OUCH! I've been called an idiot before and I have some dumb ideas, but not that dumb and not that many! >:(

He kinda looks like the type of guy you see on Dateline "To Catch a Predator."

Can do the same thing for the Johnnies:

St John's MN beat
Central IA who beat
Hope who beat
Albion who beat
Butler who beat
Dayton who beat
Robert Morris who beat
Central Conn St who beat
Georgia Southern who beat
Western Carolina who beat
Eastern Kentucky who beat
Western Kentucky who beat
Southern Illinois who beat
Indiana who beat
Western Michigan who beat
Toledo who beat
Kansas who beat
Kansas St who beat
Texas who beat
Oklahoma who beat
Washington who beat
UCLA who beat
Oregon St who beat
Southern Cal
:o

Can we use the "degrees of separation" from the ostensibly #2 team in the nation to predict the winner of this weeks UWW-St. Johns game?  ;D  THe fewer the degrees the better the team.

If so:
UWW 23
St. Johns 13

If you're gonna grasp at straws that desparately, you'd be better off just going the UWW beat UWL beat Bethel... route.

I thought he was the one in the second photo wearing the Crown sweatshirt.  The mascara must have thrown me off.

Right hair color at least...

ATN is up at d3football and even Keith is on UWW side, "When you have to match scores with a multi-talented Whitewater offense, now complete with a healthy Justin Beaver, it would take a mammoth effort from the Johnnies D to pull the upset. UW-Whitewater 28, St. John’s 17".

A "mammoth effort" on D - and an error free day on O.  Well, if that's what it takes then.

So now that the experts pick Whitewater and give their reasons in ATN, does that mean the people hwo picked UWW to win are all geniouses?

Great banter today and all week on both sides, what the hell, +k to all!!!

Since I pulled the 8-8 shift tomorrow with night call, I may not be on here tomorrow, so I'll take this chance to wish safe travels to all!

I would not put too much into the Eau Claire comparison.

St. Johns/Eau Claire first game of the season for both teams.

UWW/Eau Claire game. Carleton could have won that game with the turnover/ field position given to WW in the first half.

Not meant as a knock on WW but not a good comparison of these two teams potential now.

I'll see for myself this weekend.

You coming to the game?

I'll be easy to spot.....I'll have purple on.

Yea, that is why I put a disclaimer on the post.

Yes I will be at the game... I'll be wearing purple as well

I agree!  That was hands down the best game i've ever seen in person, and maybe the best game i've seen period.

That should have been a semifinal game, another one of those glitches with playoff matchups.

I got a great picture after the final play of Max Sakellaris (LT and one of the leaders on our team) going up and consoling Brett Elliot.  The people of Linfield were a class act.  They were awesome before the game and gracious in defeat.  I agree neither team deserved to lose that game.

Wow, great Linfield/UWW circle jerk you guys have got going here ;)

How the weather in Whitewater?  Is the snow coming down yet?

I just got off the JSOnline, they said up to 13 inchs of snow in Milwaukee. We are not getting in the Lancaster/Platteville area of SW WI. Is Whitewater in the Storm path or not. I only live about 100 mils from WW. God Bless!

uww0212

It's 3:42 a.m.

I woke up to take a leak

Only a trace of snow here in WW so far

thought you's would like an update

CaptainKurt

I need to put a snow plow on the Dodge Stratus!!  We got 6 inches already in Milwaukee.  Anyone got the weather report on what it's like in Whitewater?

St. John's, no hootch for the bus-driver this trip.  He'll need his best effort this weekend too on getting you guys here through the weather.

And why don't you guys expect to hang around until next week as well.  We could us an experienced scout team to run either some Wesley or UMHB looks against our 1st string.  Your mothers!!!! :o

I was a bus driver at SJU back in college. First weekend on the job we got 12 inches of snow in 45 minutes.

You haven't seen nervous faces in the rear view mirror until you're driving a 65-passenger bus full of drunken college students (mostly women) going 30 MPH down the highway with the door open so you can try to follow the white line on the side of the road because you can't see a damn thing in front of you!!! :-\

Then when your boss radio's you on the CB and says "Are you following my tracks? If so, STOP NOW, I'm in the f*cking ditch" loud enough for the whole bus to hear it, it becomes even more fun.

Until that day, I'd never seen a drunken college girl try to remember the rosary swearing aloud every time she messed up ;D

PS. Just called my grandpa in Watertown (about 30 miles North of WW for all the non-Wisconsonites) and it's damn near blizzarding up there. Says he can't even see the road from his picture window! He guesses there's at least 8-10 inches on the ground and no signs of stopping any time soon!

Whitewater is a winter wonderland, about 8 to 10 inches and coming down like crazy.  Coach Brez planned on having a crew on the field at 4:00 AM to start sweeping the tarps (the field has been covered),  but they are going to have a hard time keeping ahead of this snow.

Good luck to all Johnnie fans travelling, BE CAREFULLl!!!

Could that be done on such short notice? Wouldn't be a bad idea. Cortland State (from out East) had one of their games moved to a neutral site earlier this season after Buffalo, NY got whomped big time. (If I remember correctly, Buffalo got hit with 1 1/2- 2 feet of snow at that time).

Only saying it's been done before.
