I am a former MWC player and alum.
A couple of notes about why MWC does not fill out the WIAC schedule.  First off, we only have one non-conference game unlike the WIAC which has three opportunities.  So when we schedule we have to do it far in advance.  We are starting to play.  UWW beat the ST. Norberts the past two years and Ripon and UWO are playing in a couple of years.  I would like to see more games between them, however it does not help that we have 9 conference games.  It would help out the MWC if we can even hang close to a WIAC team.  It will happen in the future.
Also, I am surprised that the UWW and LAX game is not the national game of the week.  The last two years the conference has been decided at that game.  I have friends who played at LAX.  The UWW game is the biggest one on their schedule especially since the buls*$t call at UWW a couple of years ago with the clock.  LAX will win again this year.   GO Eagles.

Well, it seems I'm not going to get to see the Eagles and Warhawks go at it this weekend.  >:(

On another note, La Crosse will be honoring the 1985 NAIA II Championship team and the 1995 NCAA DIII Championship team at halftime.

It sounds like controlling the clock with the running game to keep the Whitewater offense off the field is going to be priority number one for the Eagles.

ok for my first post all i have to say is that Oshkosh's D will shut down the Pioneers offense without a doubt.  They are playing with so much confidence that i wouldn't be surprised by a shutout and about 7 picks.  Oshkosh wins big with the return of Patek and a steady diet of Moriarty

I am not sure why the UWW vs Lacrosse game is not the naional game of the week in division thre football. It definitely has conference championship, and automatic playoff bid implications.
However this is whats going to hapen. The warhawks are once again going to proive this year that they are for rweal, and it's going to a good old steroid free at least for uww(sorry pat had to say that) game where Whoever has the ball last wins the game. No excuses this year like the referees screwed up or anything like that.
Warhawks
28
Lacrosse 21
Whitewater then runs the table and goes on to win the title and earns an autmatic bid to the NCAA division three playoffs for the first time since 1997.
Although we ahve had three eyars in a row where we had a chance, and just couldn't get it done

Well I have been apart of the last three contests.  Was there for the so called clock mailfunction, and for the, battle in the mud in 03, and last year the hawks got out played. The hawks have gotten alot of pub so far this year, is it worth the ink.  This is the game that has been the benchmark to judge your season on for as long as I can remember.  Prove that you are worth the ink, shock the world!!!!  You have nothing to lose, play this game like I know you want to!!!

Hawks Win !!

You can say all you want to about the clock screw up but the fact is that all LaCrosse had to do was knock down a hail mary, desperation pass and the whole clock issue was immaterial.  It was only when they failed to accomplish that one simple thing that it mattered.   Life's a bitch, then you die.  ;)
