Sorry to hear about the profanity I have never heard any accept the b___l s___t cheer which I pretty much hear everywhere but we sit above the student section. No place for those cheers and I hope some overserved alleged students don't get us a 15 yard penalty because there are too many kids at the games for that kind of stuff. Don't want to turn our student section into a Badger student section but we have a long way to go to attain that level of grossness. As for talking smack on the field it simply drives me crazy especially when the players doing it who are losing by 40 points.....it takes a special kind of imbecile to partake in such an activity while getting your ass handed to you. Here is hoping the Warhawk offense and defense can put a quality performance together this weekend which we haven't done for a couple of weeks. POUND THE ROCK.....

I think what this latest thread has exposed is the fact that a small percentage, or maybe not that small of a percentage, can taint the entire population. I would guess that the majority of UWW fans feel indignation about being painted with the broad brush. The natural tendency is then to say, "We're not as bad as..........." or "What about x, y z?" We must remember that we can't excuse bad behavior by citing someone else's bad behavior. It's up to those who know better to clean up the one's who don't, and it's best handled by those "in house" I'm not all that upset about the "Bull****" chant, just that it seems that every call against the Warhawks merited that chant. Good luck in cleaning up. We all have to look at ourselves and those we might have some influence over, and do what we can to clean our own personal environment. No one is squeeky clean.

Ya, I am way more concerned about the F*** chant than the BS one but thought I would sound hypocritical if I only mentioned the one.  Hard to draw a line there.
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in
life." Paul Dietzel / LSU

I have to say that the "You f**ked up!" chant was the first time I have ever heard the f word used by a large vocal group in unison during any of the hundreds of games that I have attended.  As someone else mentioned, it was quite ironic that it happened the first time immediately at the beginning of the game right after the announcer stated that profanity would not be allowed.

I have heard on numerous occasions fans chanting "bullsh*t, bullsh*t" but using the f word achieved a whole new level of vulgarity IMO.

I, and most others I would think, realized that the chant was coming from the student section which obviously does not represent the masses of UWW's fans.  I do feel that it would be in the University's best interests, however, to have it addressed in some fashion.  Maybe during the next game the announcer could be more specific by saying, "The use of profanity will not be tolerated and those in violation will be escorted from the game.  This includes chants that contain F**K in them." ;)
Go Johnnies!!!

I believe now the vulgarity issue has been beaten to death officially......

janesvilleflash

I agree 1111. I have no doubt the staff will handle the issue. If they don't I will cut myself a big piss elm club and go splain it to em.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

We sit at about the 30 yard line near the scoreboard with the Goo Crew come by and get me and we help you in explaining......

janesvilleflash

Is there a football game Saturday? Wesley? What's up with that, and how did they win last game, I thought MHB would toast them.

I am aware that this type of criticism coming from a Stout guy has a certain ring of hypocrisy.

Your cornerback chanted "over-rated" at our sidelines during the game this year.  It was in the 3rd qtr while you were losing 35-0.

That alone rules out any chance of me listening to anyone from Stout.

Well, you seem quite unenlightened, but I still have respect for JanesvilleFlash and FootballFan413. :o

Wow Duff I don't know what to say... no respect, no respect.  What, does that make me the Rodney Dangerfield of the WIAC and MIAC boards ;)

To all WI...

I was recently asked by my boss how many different breweries are located in WI?  Can anyone help me out?  We are making the trip to root for the Wolverines, but sure would like to try as many of them as possible!!

p.s. How's the footing in the parkinglot?  Should I bring my golf spikes?

If anyone is interested, I might be able to work out a trade for a six of Dogfish Head Raison d'etre for some Leinies.  Check it out...

Yikes, how many miles do you have on your rent-a-car?  (Or how many points remaining on your driver's license, for that matter).

Off the top of my head:  Capital Brewery in Madison, New Glarus Brewery in New Glarus, Point Brewery in Stevens Point, Leinenkeugel's in Chippewa Falls, La Crosse Brewery in La Crosse (world's largest six pack), plus all the one's in Captain Kurt's link in Milwaukee.  I'm sure i'm missing at least a half dozen.

Here, I found a list for you: http://beerexpedition.com/wi/index_bycity.shtml

Or this list:  http://www.wistravel.com/breweries.htm

And don't forget "Groovy Beer" from Black River Falls.  I forget the brewery's name but it was compliments of Flash.  Austin Powers would like that beer.
