Well it's finally Friday night and the big game is tomorrow!!  Time to wish

all the best to the WW faithful and to the guys!!  Bring your A game

tomorrow.  The last 2 weeks have cost me too much grey hair.  I have

already had to make a hair appointment for beauty in the bottle before

the Stagg Bowl.  I don't want to scare people with this grey mop!!

Just heard that Pat Cummings is going to be on the roof of the Perk

with Gordon during the game.  I have figured out how to celebrate the

TDs!!! They will probably freeze quickly up there and as we make a TD,

one of them can fall off, causing a shower of twinkling effects and a sound

much like a canon shot at the end.  However, there is just one small

problem.  There are only 2 of them and we need more than 2 TDs in order

to beat Wesley,  way more than that!!  Just ask UMHB.  So we are going

to need 6-7 people to volunteer to accompany Pat and Gordon on the roof

so we can celebrate all the way through the game. ;D ;D ;D

Much congratulations to the WW guys who made the All-Regional

teams!!  Looking at that this afternoon, it looked like an all WW team

because we had so many players on it.  We certainly could have had more-

-there were many deserving players this year--but other players and other

teams needed to have a little glow as well.  After all we are still playing

and they aren't.  We got the top 3 awards.  Now tomorrow we need to

show that we are worthy of having been voted those top awards.    I also

checked out the South (and East and North too, to tell you the truth) and

there were many Wesley players who deservedly make it, including 2 that

really scare me a lot--> B. Robinson and the QB.  I think I've repressed his

name tonight.  I have looked it up twice and can't keep it in my mind.  Must

be the head injury from last week.   :'(  I still can't grade the essay part of

my exams--an immediate blinding headache instead of the normal one I've

had for the last 10 days.  Damn brick wall!! No fun at all!!

Checked out the ODAC page a bit earlier this evening.  So far Llamaguy

says 10 different schools are represented in the people that are definitely

coming to the Stagg Bowl and to Stone Station, including coming the night

before to a sports bar whose name just escaped me.  But it's on the other

board.  Check llama's posts.  Going to be fun.  I sure hope WW is there to

play as well  Oh, and I'm proud that one of my OLINERS, Matt Capriati (sp)

made the All-Regional 3rd team and Winston Young (rb) made the 2nd

team.   :) ;) :D ;D

I understand that the NCAA is going to do a video feed of the 2 games

tomorrow.  And the Pennatlantic is going to do the video streaming.  I

think I'm going with the Penn thing.  It has been great the last 2 weeks.  I

have enjoyed the coverage.  I'm afraid the NCAA will have the dorks--

meaning guys who don't know a thing about DIII--doing the play-by-play.

If it's Pat and Gordon, that's different and I'll watch it.  But I figure it will be

the same caliber of the people who do the Stagg Bowl every year.  You all

do know what I mean with the word "caliber", I'm sure. ;D ;D ;D

I'll be here in Virginia wearing my Whitewater Warhawks hoodie

rooting for you'all to carry the day.  More than that,  a good clean game

with nobody hurt on either side!!  Do your best;  That's all anybody can

ask of you.  I know that Wesley will be doing their best as well.  It should

be an exciting game.  I would rather have my kind of game.  Us lots of

points and the other team  not so many points, but other people might

think differently. :D :D  Back to work--well, maybe . . .

WARHAWKS!!  CANONBALL THE WOLVERINES BACK TO DOVER!!  WHO NEEDS A CANON TO DO THAT??
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

WCswann28sis

And you talk about how "classless" wesley is if indeed they made such a request. Here some of you have the indecent nerve to call us "Pussies" how classless is that.  Before you start throwin out such insults get your facts straight.  Drass doesn't give a damn about that cannon and obviously the warhawks have been able to score without it. How much confidence do you have in your team to be worried about a cannon and having such a fit over it. TIS TIS
Look #28 got your ball, GO WESLEY!!!

To those who asked about the all-region nominations, I'm not sure what you'd have me do. You have a parent of a player complaining about the All-Region team. Am I not allowed to point out the reason for his complaint?

Sorry. That's not how it works, folks.

As the philosopher says, you can't please all the people all the time!!

For what it matters, I agree with your point 100% and are glad you are so candid & knowledgeable. It's quite refreshing considering some of the....stuff....I have to read on here!!

Some random thoughts on the last 4 or 5 pages: The Cannon: Banning it this late in the season may be a little picky. however, it is very loud and obnoxious. my hears really hurt when i hear it. it is also pointed at the Visitors sideline. I think you UWW fans need to get a cannon light or point it at your side. It just is not worth turning this site into another Knucklehead site, as it has been in the past. It looks like one right now! All region Teams: no doubt many great players are left off. No team can nominate the whole team  or have more than a few players from each team. How many players  from teams with losing records get the credit they too richly deserve! Most all region or All Americans would gladly trade the personal accolades for one more team win! Attendance: I will be disappointed if 4000 fans do come out to the game today, with weather in the mid 40s. Enjoy the game in person. God Bless everyone and get back to the basics, good FB with loud but well behaved fans showing good sportsmanship!

Pat-----If I were a coach, I would think you would want a list of players I felt were deserving of all-region honors. If you are going to publicly state that I didn't nominate certain players, I would turn in my entire roster as a nomination. You are putting these coaches on the hot seat. Now, if you say "why should I take the heat" for people complaining, the answer is you chose to publish these teams. If you can't stand the heat, don't do it. I think starting next year, you are going to see much longer lists from the coaches.---as usual, you probably don't agree with me, and as usual it's probably because I'm wrong, but just stating my opinion.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Good luck to the Warhawks today.

Guess that's your choice. It wasn't theirs. We had the exact same discussion one year ago and it did not change what happened this year, did it?

Has the party started yet, has the first beer been cracked?

For the first Saturday in 14 weeks I am a boy without his team, a naked man standing in his underwear confused as to his meaning in life, an athletic supporter without a destination in site.

Lest the Playoff season end without the team in red and white, I must pay homage to all my friends in Whitewater.

JanesvilleFlash;  Will your welcome wagon be open once again with your son-in-law/wingman Jeremy in tow?

UWW Students;  In this season of giving will you be giving the Wolverines the warm welcome they deserve?

The Warhawk Cannon;  Will the pounding and bellowing you are so accustomed to delivering be heard but from a location far from the battle field?

Norm's;  Is the 10 and 16 ounce prime rib special still available following the feast we engaged in last Saturday?

To all of my friends in Whitewater..... we won't get fooled again!

The welcome wagon will be parked in front of Jeremy\wingman's house, and we'll be watching on tv\internet, and I'll be playing with my grandkids. Maybe 2 or 3 leftover beers from last week, no Groovey beer though, and no terrific burgers or polish, healthy chicken and veggies instead. THEN, around 3 o'clock, I head for my favorite watering hole, and turn back into my obnoxious, horses a$$ self again.

Sounds like a full, well planned day Flash.   ;) :)

Stick a Warhawk win in the middle of the itinerary.

BDB- do you have a different avatar? My grandkids may wonder what that girl is smiling about. ;) ;D
