I see my old Coach Willis is a finalist at WHitewater. Any idea what his chances are. The guy is a defensive genius and had several ( I think 3) top 10 defenses in the nation in his 7 years and I think all were at least top 20.

I dunno man, it's definitely an uphill battle for him................into a hurricane......................wearing stainless steel boots. Nothing against him though. I actually went up there and sat in on his interview and he seems alright. It's just that people around here love Stan Zweifel. I would bet that if Tony Dungy came calling they'd send him packing. It's really hard to not stand behind your own especially with the huge feeling of family that we have around here.

Ok 96, I want Z to get it as bad as anyone, but Dungy, I'm afraid I might have to give it to him!!!!

Oops. You meant WIAC team. If we send a WIAA team, you'd be beating up on one of our high school teams.  ;)

My bad--sorry--you know us north region elitists can't tell the difference between the western region conferences--they all look the same to us--high school--college if it ain't Mount it kind of blends together ::) ;D
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

What I don't understand is.....if "Coach Z" is such an overwhelming favorite of everyone....why is there an interview process?  Is that Wisconsin public college mandate?  It just doesn't make any sense.  If he is "the man", why the drama?

Pat Coleman

Yes, pretty much every state requires that kind of open process when hiring for a state job.

UDubDub,

You don't have to leave just because the season's finished. You can still check in from time to time.

Congratulations to Whitewater on your great showing this year, and to Coach Berezowitz on an outstanding career. Those will be big shoes to fill.
I'm glad Linfield got the chance to play Whitewater, and I hope we get to again.
Two words:  THE STREAK

If someone like Tony Dungy were applying for the Whitewater job, I'd definitely want them to hire someone else.

I think all La Crosse fans would agree with me!  ;D

Does anyone know if there is an audio recording or written transcript of the post game press conference that would be available to the public?  I'd sure like to hear what everyone had to say after the game.

Here you go:

This includes the game so you'll want to move forward to the 3:50 or so mark to get to the postgame.

You can't have everything.....Where would you put it?

Re WW coaching job- Anyone know what happens if Z gets the job? Will he stay O coordinator, will Borland stay D coordinator? Will they bring in another experienced coach to fill Z's spot?
