If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Pat Coleman

But I don't know what it is about that release that makes him think that.

He also has fervor for people that will endear him to our community

the above quote from PP would be my guess
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

BoBo

To me that means me has a good, positive demeanor.  You're not the only one to think that Pat Coleman.

And from the Journal Sentinel it sounds like Brian Borland wants to stay....

Leipold said he wants to retain all the assistant coaches. Defensive coordinator Brian Borland, a childhood friend of Leipold's, said he would like to stay.

But I don't know what it is about that release that makes him think that.

"Lance Leipold brings a unique dynamic to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, its athletic department and Warhawk football," Plinske said.  "Not only will his temperament and background help him funnel the gifts and abilities of a highly successful program, but they will bring us new ideas and a different perspective."

Am I reading too far into that?

Just Bill

I think you're reading too far into that.  I don't read "funneling the gifts" as monetary donations.  I read it as paired with "gifts and abilities" meaning the positive attributes of Whitewater football already in place.

Anyone else see it a different way?
"That seems silly and pointless..." - Hoops Fan

Nah, I agree with Bill. IMO, even if he did hire him because of DLK (which in no way am I implying that he did) it would not show his better side to come out and say it.

BTW, after reading the WW banner and the article on Z from the State Journal, it seemed to me like Z was leaving that door open to come back. That would be awesome to have both of them, as some of you have stated. Anyone else have a take on that based on what he said?

There is no way on God's green earth that Z will be back.

Knowing badgerwarhawk, I'd consider that case closed.

I heard that Stan is heavily considering an offer from the Franklin Outlaws to become their offensive coordinator in 2007. ;D

Warhawk 96

"weighing in the opinions of the student athletes" what a joke.........

Now back to football. As for replacing the seniors on the D-line, not gonna happen. Each of them brought their own unique strengths and weaknesses to the table. What you will see is a group of young guys who will bring their own qualities to the table. As of right now it would be any combination of three guys for the two interior spots, Corey Schroedl (SR 6' 285), Brian Reiser (SO 6'2" 280), and Justin Ankley (RSFR? 6'5" 300 lbs). each of them have their own unique qualities as players and it will be interesting to see them battle it out during camp.
