My opinoin limited to the last 5 years......Scott Krause the best with Jake a close second.....

*co-sign* Krause was a BEAST
2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 NCAA Division 3 Champions.
2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 WIAC Champions.

I'm not sure Krause is the best.  If it wasn't for the weak non-conference schedule that Point played, his numbers for his career are simular to the others.  I thought Stetzer was the best natural throwing QB I saw in the early 2000's.  I also thought after Tennies soph. year in '03 that he was going to be great.  He never played as well after that year, that was too bad.  As for Ohman, he didn't quite have what it needed to throw the ball consistantly.  He was a tremendous talent and a good running QB, just not a good thrower.  So, after Jacobs I would take Stetzer, Tennies '03, Krause then Ohman.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

The Green Bay Blizzard announced the signing of 4 ex-DIII players (3 WIAC) to their 2007 roster. They include:

OL/DL Bob Docherty (6'6", 274 UW-Oshkosh)
WR Scott Burnoski (6'2", 204 UW-La Crosse)
OL/DL Andrew Rekuski (6'3", 305 UW-Eau Claire)
K Bob Forstrom (5'7", 170 St. Norbert College)

Good to see a representation of our conference in Arenal Football

I assume that would be based on pure passing ability. I would say that Krause was the best because he is the best quarterback at moving his offense down the field and scoring. I remember trying to defend him to no avail as he threw for like four touchdowns and ran for two on us. He was the best when it came to the combination of hurting you with his legs or his arms.

p.s. they did play and beat Augustana and Ohio Northern when he was there. That's not the weakest non-conference schedule I've ever seen

Warhawk 96 brings up a lot of nightmares about Krause. Not sure how I would rank the top 5 QBs, but he did beat teams with his legs... Just when you thought things were covered downfield, Krause'd take off running and get a first down. Man, I hated watching that! ;)

As to QB top 5: I do not know which one was best. i do think that Krause was the most frustrating to watch as an opponent. he never gave up and was just as good running as passing. The RF quarterback Travis, do not remember his last name, was the most dangerous of all time, but he could not pass like Krause. God Bless!

Just Bill-
If you are going back 10 years then the best QB that the WSUC/WIAC has seen would be Adam Kowles

I'm not familiar with Kowles.  Please fill us in...

The rumor mill is buzzing. RF has a job listing for assistant football coach (suposedly). You can all guess who is suposed to be the shoe in candidate. Heard it won't officially be filled till March 1. (warning, this could all be BS, but I don't think it is)

Would Stan be interested in a DI OC position and/or would they be interested in him? Let's say, for instance, the Northern Illinois OC position should open up soon.....

Looks like the NIU OC position will be filled by Roy Wittke....a graduate of UW-Eau Claire and native of Racine....has coached at Arizona State, Arkansas, and Eastern Illinois....became available after Arizona State hired new coach Dennis Erickson

Travis Knowles was an outstanding leader for RF. Anytime he got 5 yards down the field he could score. He got Rf into the Playoffs. I am surprised he did not make it into the NFL as a RB ,WR , or DB, based on his great athletic skill! God Bless!

IIRC, Tennies was elected student body president at La Crosse for his senior year.  His fade in performance may have been due, in part, to the distraction of his presidential duties.

Hey Guys,

It was Adam Kowles and he ran the wishbone for RF.  He was WSUC MVP in '95.  Very fast and tough.  I played against Craig Kusilek--very good pocket quarterback-- I can't remember if he was there in "95 when they won it all.

well, if the discussion was about the last ten years.........and its 2006 that has passed........that would make knowles ineligible for the discussion.
